I really like having the set-up and points featured in this. I've always been curious how you guys keep your armies in check and not overpowered compared to another's army. Just so you know the hagtree fetish now only works on the spells he knows not bound spells like ruby ring. It was in the last faq because he could potentially cast 3 magic missiles fairly easily with the reroll so now it’s 2 which is less ridiculous. Welcome to the Brayherd!
With the Old World bringing fantasy back I’ve gotten into it pretty big. I’ve painted the Bretonnian army box and a 2000 point Vampire Counts army so far. Definitely on my list will be Beastmen. I picked some up when GW announced they were cutting them from AOS which I can combine with a fair amount of metal minis I bought back in 98 It will be cool seeing your army put together and painted up
@ everything seems to become full circle. I felt bad for the AOS players at the time, knowing exactly how it feels from the fantasy days but at least they are going to make a triumphant return and will be nicely ranked up and on movement trays. Fingers crossed Q2 for their release after high elves. Personally I think it makes sense if they come before wood elves
@ they could get announced but based on the bare bones road map the high elves will come after, hopefully soon too which will open the way for beastmen 😀
Sounds cool, hope GW releases them soon! I like the sound of it, not an expert but looks like a cool army - not too weak not OTT? Nice with some fat blocks of Core, I like that.
I also sometimes like giving the minotaur bloodkine the many-limbed fiend ability, but then armor of meteoric iron wouldn't be the call, that would be better on the BSB cuz the totem of rust wouldn't affect it or on the bloodkine perhaps. Talisman of protection is always a solid choice, as is the healing potion, or the ... Giving the minotaurs the banner of outrage to make sure they get primal fury is VERY helpful too, as they have so many rules that key off primal fury... Just my thoughts as a fellow Beast man, lol...
@@RustedBrush Another little combo I liked on the minotaur characters is to take gouge tusks still and use it with the berserker sword from the common magic items list, which gives him frenzy, and due to his special rule Slaughteres's Call he applies that to the minotaur unit he joins, which keys in their Blood Greed rule for +2 attacks each with having frenzy, and immune to psychology too, of course. He has blood greed too... Although being frenzied can be a detriment too, obviously... But it's just another little thing I just remembered...
@@TheJankmaster it's effectively a 5+ ward however there are attacks and spells that "allow no armor save" that bypass it all together. It's especially strong on units that stack saves like Demon Princes. It's not a bad budget choice on a unit that is already tough.

@@TheJankmaster it's balanced by the fact that it cannot be improved in any way. But also, lol if it was 20 points for a 5+ you cannot improve how would that even be a thing???

was really mad when gw canned beasts of chaos from AOS. now that anger has turned into happiness that I can play them in a superior game :D

For 3 Minotaurs, Blackened Plate, Shield and Gnarled Hide and 1 with a shield then 1 with a GW or AHW. Now the whole unit has a 2+ armor save.
Yeah, depending on my gameplan for sure, just depends on how casual or comp the game i am playing is

Yeah I am hype to show it off! So it doesn't work with ogre blade, but he still has a hand weapon he can use with it
@@RustedBrush I dont think you can use your hand weapon as a choice if you have a magic weapon... The gnarled hide is a possible good replacement...
