The reason the skin was selling for more is because people are willing to pay that price for that skin the reason it doesn't sell for that price or even a higher price normally is because everyone tries to undercut everyone else to sell their items faster This skin could go for 96 cents or even higher on a regular basis but people dont take the time to see how much they can actually get for their skins they just follow everyone elses price listed like sheep or undercut them to sell theirs quicker I honestly dont know why blues are significantly less than the key and case honestly i think it should be a little more than key plus case because sure you can open a case and get a blue but is it going to be the specific blue you want in that case more than likely no Plus if someone wants a blue skin they would have to buy the case and a key to try and get the one they want or they could buy the blue skin they actually want for a little bit more than the case plus key for the guarantee of getting the one they want If everyone listed their blue skins higher the only way people can get the blue skin they want is to buy it or buy a case and key and hope they get the one they want or they dont get one at all its very simple but a lot of people are too stupid to realize this ig and just sell blue skins for pennies 😂 Basically if everyone listed their prices higher and dont undercut each other and stay firm on the price the skins will start selling because everyone knows its cheaper to buy than to open this goes for any skins I find it insane that you can get a knife or pair of gloves or even a covert gun skin for significantly less buying vs how much money you have to spend on average to even pull one Sure some are pretty ugly but at the end of the day if people sold them for how much it actually cost to unbox one a battle scared navja would be $1000+ Either way the buyer would have to spend the money for the knife out right or spend the same amount or more trying to unbox one because those are the only 2 ways you can get one The seller has all the power once people realize that it might not be a bad idea to open cases and gamble if you can actually pull a better knife with the odds than buying the worst option making the gambling in cases roi actually not to bad The roi for cases is only shit because the players sell shit for way cheaper than they should in this game

If the "blue" skins are worth the same (or even more) than the case + key.... Then people will just buy the case + key, open it, get a "blue", sell it, repeat the process until they get something expensive, sell it, repeat the ENTIRE process again and again until they've accumulated enough money to retire and then probably still keep repeating the same process over and over. Does that sound like something that would actually work in reality? Of course not, because everybody would do it and then that naturally decreases the value of each "blue" skin until they reach a bottom that we're used to seeing right now. Valve forces the skins to have "value" That's why we see different rarities and why some skins are ugly whilst others are beautiful. If every skin was beautiful, then they'd all be "equal" and by "equal" I mean "equally worthless" because why would you pay more/less if they all look basically the same. Imagine if everybody on earth woke up tomorrow with $2,000,000 in their bank account, everyone would be rich, that'd be awesome.... Until you go to get groceries and find out the supermarket workers quit because they're now rich..... You want to hire some builders to renovate your house? Well too bad, they all quit and *they're* now the ones who want to have their houses worked on by someone else. You see what I'm saying? This money doesn't come out of thin air. It's an economy and it'll fluctuate, it might go up, it might go down. But it'll function like any other economy (supply and demand) until there's a glitch, like what happened recently.
@lucatuka my argument still stands even with trade up value you can open hundreds of cases and never hit a red If blues, purples, and pinks, were more expensive it would cost the same amount of money on average to trade up to a red as it would to unbox one opening cases And you still might not get the red you want and not the float you want pattern you want etc... compared to buying the one you want for a little more You can open 15k in cases and you won't hit an emerald butterfly or a ruby butterfly but you can buy one for that price Look at how many cases all these big youtubers open and never hit a gem butterfly or a gem m9 or even pairs of gloves or knifes worth more than 4k out of all the golds they hit combined after spending 20k Shit you cant trade up to a knife at all like i said people under value skins doesn't make sense to me why someone would sell a red skin for $20 that took them hundreds of dollars to unbox scamming yourselves is what your doing 😂
