- Eggless chocolate cake recipe - Soft, moist & delicious eggless cake known as war cake or depression cake. The cake is vegan and is made just with flour, cocoa, water, oil, sugar, baking soda & vinegar.
Please use good quality ingredients for best results. You can replace water will milk.

I doubled this recipe and used a cup of milk and a cup of water instead of just two cups of water. Also I didn't add any vanilla extract. I also added 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder too. For the vinegar, I added it to the batter at the end. I used apple cider vinegar. I had also added 3/4 cup of half water half milk at the end. Also for the frosting I didn't use 3 cups of icing sugar I used 2 cups....AND IT CAME OUT SO GOOOOOOODDDDD. Best cake ever made. So moist which I wasn't expecting with a chocolate cake. Frosting was amazing too. Literally best cake ever made. Thank you

In which oven you bake? I bake it according to this recipe but all in vain! Cake was so soft in the mid and very much hard in the corners!

Tried it with exact proportions as shown. Only the cake, not frosting. Turned out to be excellent. Really soft, spongy and tasty. It crumbled when I tried to turn it over in a plate, but that was a mistake on my part only I guess, because I was in a rush and couldn’t wait for the cake to settle down and get cooled down. It was right out of the oven. Next time, I will try again and wait for the cake to settle properly before I try to remove it.
