@@MrWolfSnack English and Spanish are universal languages though and needed in any job with any sort of international connection. Which is ALOT of jobs nowadays, but usually anything client based
@@MrWolfSnack You make some good points about the language having to be applicable in your own life, but that doesn't mean there's absolutely no point to it. Besides practical reasons, learning another language is good for the brain in various ways. It increases memory retention and concentration. Additionally, if you do gain a personal interest in the language, it opens up the possibility to meet new people who speak that language, so you get more acquainted with different cultures. I'd also like to state that many subjects taught early on in life are taught to gauge whether people might have an interest in those subjects or not. You'll never know if you don't try. For anyone who might not know, the Earth Defense Force (the big insect invasion game) series was spawned from _Simple 2000,_ known as "Global Defense Force". It may still visually look budget, the gameplay itself is far from it, at least the newer ones anyways. Also, I hope that EDF 6, whenever that comes out, will release internationally at the same time.
I can't tell if the series, which I only know from having seen Ashens play a bit on stream, is a real thing or a parody/comedy or mock series. I've tried looking it up and it hasn't been answered.
Funny enough, even though the games are named Monster Attack and Global Defense Force, everything in-game still refers to them as the Earth Defense Force. Also, the Oneechanbara/Zombie Hunters series started out as simple series games as well before becoming Tamsoft's Golden Goose along side Senran Kagura. They're HILARIOUSLY trashy, but gameplay wise are a solid character action series, though the way in which everything is so timing based rather than directional or button based can be a bit of an adjustment vs. the likes of DMC (recent games in the series even include the option to have a combo bar during gameplay to help with precision). Also noteworthy for how early into the genre's lifespan it came out. It released the same year as DMC2 and predates both Ninja Gaiden and GoW. The only other major Character Action titles before it were Bujingai and Castlevania (and I guess Dynasty Warriors if we wanna stretch). It also technically implemented something akin to bullet time pre-Bayonetta, so that's cool.
I'm not sure I totally understand how the first game works, but I'm starting to think a harvest moon-esque life sim where you make friends with the characters by learning their language could be really really cool Or maybe it'd be inefficient at actually teaching you anything but idk it sounds cute
Speaking of D3, I wish Vinny would play Dark Sector sometime. There's meme worthy scenes and I think he'd enjoy it enough himself too. A terribly underappreciated game, for sure. 79 cents at GameStop for ps3 and Xbox 360.
Did you already forget that PS2 budget titles part 2 already existed? I'm surprised the chat didn't tell you after you said part 2. I guess you found out at some point considering this video is the correct title
Pro Tip Vinny: if you see Tamsoft, expect EXCESSIVE BOOBAS. Oneechanbara and Seran Kagura alone are enough to make DOA or Bayonetta look like a joke. Also, some of the games D3 publishes are not only really good, but developed by really big name studios (most notably Taito) as well as really small studios. I would assume that the person who compiled this collection was more looking for the funny games rather than the few that are actually solid, but don't that convince you that D3 is a Data Design/LJN level trash label. Not even close. Namco just uses the Label for games they MAY not want associated with the main brand. Oneechanbara's boobas and zombie slaughter and EDF bug hunting isn't really something that looks good alongside Pac Man and Dig Dug, lol. Basically, if a game is violent or trashy (regardless of ACTUAL quality) or if it's not a recognizable brand, they publish it under the D3 brand. It's not NECESSARILY an indication of poor quality or production value, but more an indication of what to expect in terms of tone and themes, especially nowadays.
Man, Senran Kagura has dipped so low in terms of quality lately. Sure it had echi elements but also USED to have a good story. Now? It's all just excuses to show the characters in as little clothing as possible and in the most erotic poses as possible with no actual substance to it
@@Ashurman666 I can't say I know much about Senran Kagura other than it's a boobas game, lol. I'm only familiar with Oneechanbara, which while horny and violent to an intentionally comical extreme, is a legitimately good character action series. One of the earliest and long running character action games actually (2004, pre GoW or Ninja Gaiden but post Bujingai and Castlevania LoI). The combat system is very timing/rhythm heavy so it's a bit hard to grasp at first vs pure button/directional inputs, but once you do it's way better than it has any right to be. And the more recent games have only made it better. That said, it's obviously hard to ever talk seriously about it with anyone given how ABSURDLY HORNY it is. I mean, I think it's funny, it's clearly in on the joke (unlike DOA and other creepier boobas games), and I'm straight so I don't mind at all XD . It's just that it's so trashy most people write it off as exploitative garbage... *WHICH IT IS* but there's a legitimately good series of games beneath it.
@@warbossgegguz679 Senran Kagura is basically the tales of rival Kunoichi schools that fight among one another for dominance and who's students strive to achieve the title of "Kagura". the early games, while being Boobas games with echi stuff, actually had deep, rich plots, including a school formed of dropouts from other schools who became rebels. There was fantastic fighting, drama, true rivalry. Now...Everyone's friends and they go on a vacation and shoot water guns at one another. It's lame

@@Ashurman666 and that's cool
@@blackmegamanful No, no it's not. It's just mindless. It USED to be good
@@warbossgegguz679 Senran Kagura is basically the tales of rival Kunoichi schools that fight among one another for dominance and who's students strive to achieve the title of "Kagura". the early games, while being Boobas games with echi stuff, actually had deep, rich plots, including a school formed of dropouts from other schools who became rebels. There was fantastic fighting, drama, true rivalry. Now...Everyone's friends and they go on a vacation and shoot water guns at one another. It's lame
I can watch for 30 minutes, but an hour is too long.
Less than thirty minutes you're good.
More than thirty? You're addicted.
Over 99 minutes? You're dead.
@@Lucas-db2jq And if it doesn't kill you, you're gonna have some pretty rough calluses.
Is it just me, or does Party Girls seem like a pre-cursor to the Dead or Alive Xtreme games? It seems to have some nearly identical minigames with very similar controls.
Maybe.....
Also Me: I can hear Reuben Langdon as Dante uttering "What the hell is this?" after hearing the Crowd Sounds from the PS2 Party Girls game because of well, why not?
Is this squid game BEFORE squid game? 34:00
I'm 24 year old man laughing at fart sounds.
19:02 As much as it pains me to compare Devil May Cry 1 to this trash, this camera here pretty much sums it up in a nutshell.
The first "game" was certainly interesting... Kinda felt like a fever dream. Though, chat, someone having an accent different to yours isn't racist, just letting you know.
Chat is very sensitive on these topics. I watch these streams with chat and they consider something racist real fast.
That first game's art style vaguely reminds me of MySims. I dunno if that's just me, lol.
I love your voice
Wow based Stream!
25:23 I just realized that the enemies are WW2 American soldiers with Tommy guns
I think the game is based on the story of a Japanese Soldier that refused to give up fighting after the peace treaty that ended ww2. He fought all the way into the 60s I think.
@@belisarius6949 but the Japanese soldier in this game is like a modern day soldier in modern day Japan. Nevermind I don’t know why I question this shit game
I'm shocked that the non-combat BGM of that shitty Soldier Game is also used in Senran Kagura Burst, when you're Inside a spooky giant Monster
You brade runnah?
Does anyone have a copy of party girls..
For a friend...
Beach girls at EVO when?
Well after the CEO was exposed it could be they finally lost their "core values"
It should be its own competitive event since EVO's CEO broke his own _core values_ lol
Didnt Kowloon Kurosawa make one of the simple series games?
Yep, it was the Mini Skirt Police or something.
@@Peannlui I think so I remember hearing about it but dont really know anything of it.
Vinny loses it at 30:15.
