Demonstrating how many uses are with simple tools..., extremely adaptable to almost any unpredictable situation.
The variety of options of attack with what was demonstrated is unlimited.
An entire channel of free stuff...,a course in what Bruce Lee REALLY practiced he shared with few others.
Enough stuff here when practiced in earnest & correctly will make one have a huge competent advantage against 90% plus of any fighter or martial artists out there....,
....and it's only the basic stuff....,and it's FREE.
    Simple.....,NOT easy.
    Good lesson IFO Instructor.

Master Thomas, once I dont have any jkd gym around and no guys into martial arts. After 5 yrs of Shotokan and 4 month of Wing Chun (enough!), got lost, then look up for jkd, all I knew was something more effective than wc. So I found YOU. I put a big mirror on the wall, a punch bag and added physical condidioting and a sao bao to let my knuckles stronger. And everyday I try to watch every lesson here, even the oldest to this last one. Got so shocked with jkd, I'm finishing the read of "the tao of jkd". Bought those 4 volumes "Fighting method of Bruce Lee" he wrote around 60/70s, to know more and more about details and the filosophy . Is there anything you could advice me to improve more my jkd? Or am I on the right way? Tks. Massive respect for this channel and you both who are alaways showing the things!

@happyclamguy25 man, tks for sharing your experience! Yeah it's not and easy martial art you are on streets and find one! Very nice to see that you came from Karate, sure it gave you basis to adapt the "new style", despite I don't know much more what to to with mae geris with rear leg or gyaku zukis (just because they can be a little bit easier to telegraph - I didn't think that way before jkd started) yeah in that period I looked up for Kickboxing, once I "knew" the Kicks, but it' perfect for 3 rounds in the ring w gloves, not saying I can beat, the kick hard and they can get pu nhes low kicks, ribs for 3 4 5 rounds. I looked up for boxing, they are real machines of absorving big punches, but the punch better than our karate, but once again, lots os blocks they get away with life because you use big gloves. It' different when you take bare knuckle. I wanted a "simple thing" (movements) with an extraordinary technique behind, a front kick in the shin, well I used do use against my older brother and he cries a river, and I win sometimes hehe...but a "front kick in the shin with the BL tech" if you hit as have to, well, he ll need some medicines and a doctor, that,'s the THING of jkd that Thomas try explain, need hard work, improve the speed, scenrios etc, everyone can throw a groin kick, but surely just a few can really end up a fight using the pendulum, the tight timing, not lift the knee and THEN land the kick, etc...all the stuff behind a "simple kick", the Let me ask you, how good were those 4 volumes for you? Well, Im not so go good do sparr wirh boxer "right now", but it's a great chance to test your skills. One last: I think Goju and Kyoksh better than shotokan, more effectives, do you still carry the techs like a Joker in the hand, or you just left it all behind? (Karate I mean)

If you are looking for ideas to improve in jkd, I have uploaded articles on isometric, grip and weight training in jkd on the internet archive, search under "jeet kune do" and you will find some good texts.

focus on your stance (keeping your back heel up and keeping your weight slightly forward, off your front heel). Also, focus on moving your hand first when you're punching.

@@David.Von. you can hold a weight in the hand, I like that, because wrist weights move to much .

JKD was combination of fencing and western boxing.

To simplified said. People could think you just train boxing and fencing and there you go , you do jkd. But its not how it works...

Why the continuous head-swaying after delivering the punch ? Is that essentially the equivalent or replacement of the duck-&-weave in boxing?
