We just see these clips but we don't know when the last break was. So maybe the last break was 30-ish minutes ago and ppl were checking their phones and the time. This is why he asked for more than 3 but less than 10 minutes to find apt time zone easily for some co performer back stage. If you say that it was actually the same time, and he had advanced his own time initially, then just think how was it exactly 9 mins ahead? What if she spoke some other number?

I think he made his screen to count down to the real time, and depending on what number she said, he would somehow stall a minute or two. and it was really 17 : 37 the whole time.
@@hardikgoyal7185 I don't know how he reversed the two as he didn't seen to ruffle through the cards and his hands seem to be visible the whole time (I suspect the time thing could've been a distraction) but if you look at 3:32 it's clearly a 5 of hearts, but by 5:06 it's a 5 of diamonds (It couldn't be hearts upside down, because cards are made to be symmetrical, with the exception of the middle shape if odd), probably because it looks similar so it wouldn't be noticed as much, or pure coincidence. But this leads me to believe he performed a well-hidden swap of decks.

well yeah, the clock thing wasn't really a trick, it was just a bit of stage flash. The time was 9:37 all along. The real trick is in doing the deck switch, AND in planting the right card before he does the switch. It's pretty well done.
He asked her for a number, his phone had an app running that listened for a number, then when it heard one it set the time on screen for that many minutes in the future.... and only after the time 'ran down' back to the current real time did he ask the judges to turn their phones over to see the 'new time'... The judges phones never changed. No other reason for him to ask then to put their phones face down.
All correct, except he actually keys the number 9 into his phone when he picks it up. That starts a short delay then counts down to the real time. The rest of the truck was a simple palm of the 2d. Take a look and you can see him key the 9, blatantly, shamelessly and brilliantly.
Ainsel Alkot prerecorded video of him changing time back each minute. So he had to time it perfectly in order for it to work. Only his phone changed time no one else’s. They believe their phones changed because he convinced them it did but in fact his was ahead.
Another was for the judges to have their phones placed face down so they would see that their time never changed. When he unlocked his phone he had it facing him so he could make sure the video was about to play the way it did.

Apparently there is a way to change time with the volume button, so what he did was press the raise volume button 9 times before turning on his phone, then he pressed the volume down button on his phone 9 times. It isn't real magic, its, as everyone says, it's a trick. Although I don't know how he switched the decks.
He set his phone time wrong to make people think the time was 5:46 when in reality the time was 5:37 so everybody thought they time traveled while in reality he just made fool of them.

It's a move invented by Kostya Kimlat, that he used to fool Penn and Teller on Fool Us. It's one of the hardest culls in card magic. The camera cuts away from his hands as he's doing it, but he's definitely doing a roadrunner cull just by his handling.
Figured out the “time” trick. If you guys don’t want to know, don’t press read more below as it may ruin the ‘magic’ and mystery of the trick... He has a custom-made app which likely uses his background with the battery logo and everything as it normally shows. When he had the app open, imagine your phone’s keypad when you’re dialling a number (0 to 9). This keypad was on the screen waiting for him to press the number of minutes that he wanted to go forward from the “actual time”. You can even see him press the bottom right of his phone as if he pressed the number “9” at 3:50. It’s also why he asked them for a number between 3 and 9 (because 10 or higher would require two keypresses). Once he pressed 9, the app “activated” and the clock jumped 9 minutes ahead. Then the app triggered the time reversal either through shaking the phone or whatever trigger he set up in his custom app. I assume it’s at 3:54 when he taps his screen which would then activate the time reversal after a few seconds. Smart trick though!

And no one had looked at their phones before he did the trick (the same reason he got the judges to put their phones face-down, because he didn't want them seeing the current time). The whole point was the custom app on his phone is what made the current time look like 17:46 after he pressed the number "9" on his screen

It was actually 17:37, he just used an app to change the time on his phone. Most magic apps let you fully set a state that an audience member chooses with hidden gestures. Magicians can almost only ever effect their own phones.

It's also interesting how he asked her to name... "A number higher than 3, and lower than 10", which means he didn't want her to pick 1, 2, or 3. If she had picked 1, then the "watch me roll back time" thing wouldn't have looked very good because it would've just changed instantly.

I think he made his screen to count down to the real time, and depending on what number she said, he would somehow stall a minute or two. and it was really 17 : 37 the whole time.

@@hardikgoyal7185 I don't know how he reversed the two as he didn't seen to ruffle through the cards and his hands seem to be visible the whole time (I suspect the time thing could've been a distraction) but if you look at 3:32 it's clearly a 5 of hearts, but by 5:06 it's a 5 of diamonds (It couldn't be hearts upside down, because cards are made to be symmetrical, with the exception of the middle shape if odd), probably because it looks similar so it wouldn't be noticed as much, or pure coincidence. But this leads me to believe he performed a well-hidden swap of decks.

well yeah, the clock thing wasn't really a trick, it was just a bit of stage flash. The time was 9:37 all along. The real trick is in doing the deck switch, AND in planting the right card before he does the switch. It's pretty well done.
He asked her for a number, his phone had an app running that listened for a number, then when it heard one it set the time on screen for that many minutes in the future.... and only after the time 'ran down' back to the current real time did he ask the judges to turn their phones over to see the 'new time'...
The judges phones never changed. No other reason for him to ask then to put their phones face down.
All correct, except he actually keys the number 9 into his phone when he picks it up. That starts a short delay then counts down to the real time. The rest of the truck was a simple palm of the 2d.
Take a look and you can see him key the 9, blatantly, shamelessly and brilliantly.

How did he make his phone go back in time
Ainsel Alkot prerecorded video of him changing time back each minute. So he had to time it perfectly in order for it to work. Only his phone changed time no one else’s. They believe their phones changed because he convinced them it did but in fact his was ahead.
Another was for the judges to have their phones placed face down so they would see that their time never changed. When he unlocked his phone he had it facing him so he could make sure the video was about to play the way it did.
Remember the judges were Asked for a Number from 3-9 so pretty Hard to Time it just perfectly

Apparently there is a way to change time with the volume button, so what he did was press the raise volume button 9 times before turning on his phone, then he pressed the volume down button on his phone 9 times. It isn't real magic, its, as everyone says, it's a trick. Although I don't know how he switched the decks.

So the only difference in changing it by a different number would be upto his sleight of hand. Everyone else's phones stay in the proper time, so it doesn't really matter

It's a move invented by Kostya Kimlat, that he used to fool Penn and Teller on Fool Us. It's one of the hardest culls in card magic. The camera cuts away from his hands as he's doing it, but he's definitely doing a roadrunner cull just by his handling.

Figured out the “time” trick. If you guys don’t want to know, don’t press read more below as it may ruin the ‘magic’ and mystery of the trick...
He has a custom-made app which likely uses his background with the battery logo and everything as it normally shows. When he had the app open, imagine your phone’s keypad when you’re dialling a number (0 to 9). This keypad was on the screen waiting for him to press the number of minutes that he wanted to go forward from the “actual time”. You can even see him press the bottom right of his phone as if he pressed the number “9” at 3:50. It’s also why he asked them for a number between 3 and 9 (because 10 or higher would require two keypresses). Once he pressed 9, the app “activated” and the clock jumped 9 minutes ahead. Then the app triggered the time reversal either through shaking the phone or whatever trigger he set up in his custom app. I assume it’s at 3:54 when he taps his screen which would then activate the time reversal after a few seconds. Smart trick though!

And no one had looked at their phones before he did the trick (the same reason he got the judges to put their phones face-down, because he didn't want them seeing the current time). The whole point was the custom app on his phone is what made the current time look like 17:46 after he pressed the number "9" on his screen

It was actually 17:37, he just used an app to change the time on his phone. Most magic apps let you fully set a state that an audience member chooses with hidden gestures. Magicians can almost only ever effect their own phones.

The correct time will be the same on all phones since all phones use GPS data to set the time. The real "trick" was setting the fake time ahead by 9 minutes without anybody noticing.

@@theviper3479 Well we can't be 100% sure exactly how the trick is done, but... he picked up the phone after she said 9, then touched it for about 3 or 4 seconds before showing the screen to the camera, so it seems likely that he changed the time really quick. It's also interesting how he asked her to name... "A number higher than 3, and lower than 10", which means he didn't want her to pick 1, 2, or 3. If she had picked 1, then the "watch me roll back time" thing wouldn't have looked very good because it would've just changed instantly.
