to me It remeinds me of the Popeye from the Weapon brown universe. In those comics its a post-apocalyptic world populated almost entirely by newspaper comics, Charlie brown is an experimental super-soldier with a nuclear-powered arm. Popeye is one of the leaders of the resistance.
It's based off of Captain Strong, a Popeye parody.

@@nifinland Going frame by frame, the clip right before the “9” shows up shows a clip from that old music video of Jinx when she was first introduced to League.
Jinx's two most requested opponents are Harley Quinn and Gaige the Mechromancer from Borderlands 2, and Borderlands 3 now while there is a strong argument for Jinx vs. Gaige happening especially since Tiny Tina's Wonderlands comes out in March, more then likely Jinx's opponent will be Harley Quinn.

My first time watching death battle was probably the first episode Samus vs boba Fett since just showed me the first one
My favorite death battle has to be samurai jack vs afro samurai that fight was soo good.
My favorite moment is the ending of shredder vs silver samurai. Shredder squishing the head of silver samurai and having his eye glow it was intimidating but also beautiful.
When I saw the SFM version, I was like "What the?! Is that the Robin Williams version of Popeye?!" 😆
All I have to say is may God help whoever has to animate Tetsuo's weird fetus form
My first death battle was Yang vs Tifa...I still love it despite the bad rep it gets.
My favorite death battle is Link vs Cloud 2. Ryuko vs Shadow, Madara vs Aizen, and Blake vs Mikasa are good runners ups though.
The most memorable battle is Weiss vs Mitsuru. When Weiss realized just how one-sided and hopeless the situation was she still charged forward anyway. It was such a tearful moment for me and gave her a lot of cool points that the recent seasons were lacking.
As for the first Death Battle I've seen, it was Bomberman vs Dig Dug, believe it or not. Favorite...oooh, that's a tricky one. I'm torn between Thanos vs Darkseid, Deadpool vs Mask, Hulk vs Broly, Yoda vs King Mickey, and...well, this one.

- Scarlet Witch: I've actually seen suggestions for her vs. Haruhi Suzumiya, or Zatanna.
- Tanjiro: Looking at his abilities, I'm starting to think Jonathan Joestar.
- Tetsuo: For a long time, I've been thinking Jean Grey, AKA Phoenix.
- Boba Fett: Hrm, probably not Samus again. What about Travis Touchdown?
- Vegeta: Considering he likely scales to about 650-universe level, who do you even pit against him besides maybe another DC character?
- Jinx: I've seen suggestions like Heavy, Junkrat, Green Goblin, and Harley Quinn.
I think vegeta will fight thor its a pretty common matchup for the two

The first Death Battle I ever watched was Terminator VS Robocop, it was a good place to start tbh since it gave me a clear understanding of how Death Battle works
The only one that nearly made me cry was All Might VS Might Guy
The ones that had me most hyped when they were announced were Doctor Strange VS Doctor Fate, Crash VS Spyro, Iron Fist VS Po, Winter Soldier VS Red Hood, and Thanos VS Darkseid
My personal favourites are Optimus Prime VS Gundam, All Might VS Might Guy, Balrog VS TJ Combo, Hulk VS Broly, Kirby VS Majin Buu, Ghost Rider VS Lobo, Thanos VS Darkseid, Power Rangers VS Voltron, Iron Fist VS Po, Goro VS Machamp, Miles Morales VS Static, Roshi VS Jiraiya and Beerus VS Galaxia, in no particular order just cause I can't choose a favourite overall
What do I hope will happen next year or in general? Hiccup & Toothless VS Hiro & Baymax (this will always be my number 1, this is my Blake VS Mikasa)

My first DB was Dig Dug vs Bomberman, funny how that works. My favorite Death Battle ever though is Terminator vs Robocop
That said there’s a lot of great eps, I really loved the entire TJ VS Balrog fight because of how amazing it was for TJ’s character, who at the time was going through a redemption arc to make up for his cheating past, and having to conquer Balrog, who is a lot like who TJ used to be, symbolically conquering his past self, and doing it with the Last Brash, a power he GAINED after choosing to rip his arm implants out.
There’s My all time fave HORROR Episode, Carnage VS Lucy, which was absolutely a thrill of a lifetime the entire way through, with a haunting theme, epic rain symbolism, and fantastic power interactions.
You had really cool battles that depended on single factors like Wolverine VS Raiden and Cable VS Booster Gold.
And I love the ability for them to help clarify pop culture as it happens, like that moment in Thanos vs Darkseid, where Thanos does the snap, and it’s not enough, so people know that he’s not unbeatable, and in fact no one in fiction is.
But for you, watching your excitement for Blake vs Mikasa was a big treat in of itself

My first episode was the original Mario VS Sonic, which I shouldn’t have watched when I was 4 years old.
My favorite episode is either Shadow VS Ryuko, All Might VS Might Guy, Wolverine VS Raiden, Hercule VS Dan, Goku Black VS Reverse Flash, DIO VS Alucard, or Goku VS Superman, or this episode.
An episode that means a lot to me is Ryu VS Jin as that’s where I truly got back into the show as I fell off it for a while, and it’s when I started watching it regularly.

Okay, you definitely watched this fight before you reacted to it. No way you correctly guessed EVERYTHING that would happen in it. (the animation changes, fighting over the spinach discount/price, Saitama getting excited and thanking Popeye, etc.)
Super late reply, but when you’ve watched enough reactors, you can tell the genuine ones from the fake ones. And I WON’T be watching more of this guy. He knew too much going into this reaction. The best benefit of the doubt I could give is he didn’t watch it first but some people told him enough about it to where his reaction is no longer genuine.
Saitama death blake vs Misaka flashbacks
It was pretty wholesome that Saitama finally got the fight he’d been searching for.
My first Death Battle was Starscream vs Dash or Link vs Cloud.
My favorite Death Battle is Esdeath vs Gray, I know its got flaws, but getting to see my favorite manga character fight one more time made me so happy. lost Ice Storms might be my favorite track which is cool.
As for memorable Jack vs Afro, cause it felt like I was watching an episode of Samurai Jack I missed as a kid.
I gotta add Esdeath vs Gray As memorable too, just because It was one of the last things I got to watch with my mom. ( sorry to bring down the mood.)

My first Death Battle was the very first, the original, Samus Aran vs Boba Fett, yes I've been watching Death Battle since the start.
My favorite Death Battle is really tough to decide, this one is really REALLY good. I do still like Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher, Might Guy vs All Might, Hulk vs Broly, and Dante vs Bayonetta more though. Maybe that'll change the more I watch this one. Heck even Pokemon vs Digimon was awesome, its so hard to decide, I probably missed a few amazing ones too. Also the Megaman Battle Royale, if I'm being biased.
My favorite moment...My previous favorite moment was when Weiss realized just how truly screwed she was, and that she was really outmatched, that moment hit hard. But the ending to this with Saitama finally finding someone stronger than him has to be my new favorite

Yeah for Sure Thor vs Vegeta is going to happen and I hope they have that one scene where Vegeta is in SSB sand he is just pounding Goku Black Through Buildings but instead of Goku Black put Thor and I hope Thor has a moment where he gives Vegeta the Hammer but Vegeta has it stuck in his hand and can’t lift kinda like how that happened when he fought Hulk in the First Avengers Movie

Pretty wild way to end the season, but I'd say it worked out pretty well.
As for the teasers, don't feel bad about not being able to figure out who they all are. It feels like they made even more of an effort to hide who most of them were given the faster editing and the obscure shots. Hell, Tanjirou from Demon Slayer was only teased indirectly through that water slash transition. Some folks even though the shot teasing Boba Fett (or it might not even be him, since it could also be The Mandalorian) was actually Deathstroke. And yeah, Vegeta is definitely fighting Thor. His only other remotely decent options are General Zodd from DC or Phoenix Ikki from Saint Seiya, and I doubt they'd do either of those when Sailor Moon vs Seiya is more likely, and we just had a Dragon Ball character die to a DC herald.

My most memorable and impactful Death Battle episodes are Goku vs Superman 1, Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher, Optimus Prime vs Gundam and Red vs Blue.

I'm hyped for the Season 9 especially Scarlet Witch
This was a strange, but awesome way to finish this anniversary season. What a great battle, no questions asked!
But I was sad that Saitama lost. I had many doubts about the fight:
- many of Popeye's feats were all thanks to spinach, while Saitama accomplished his feats through training, without an "outside source".
- one question: the spinach power doesn't have some sort of time limit? I thought that through extreme routines and fights, one can is quickly consumed in the body, which could have lead Popeye with no strength, thus interrumpting the fight to eat more spinach, giving Saitama a wide-opening.
- One-Punch Man is still going, and unfortunately for us and Wiz and Boomstick we never saw Saitama's fighting a serious fight, as in a fight that could potentially leave him at death's door. At this moment in the manga, we see God, but Saitama hasn't fought him yet, and maybe after this arc we will see him fight God and gain new calculations.
- Toon Force might be the most broken instrument to counter and beat. Of all users, I thought Popeye was an average user, in comparison to Bugs or Felix the Cat.
There was no way Saitama could win this fight, but I so wished he could. The music and battle transitions were amazing.
to answer some of your questions:
even without spinach, popeye's feats are absolutely bonkers. that whole "giving the sun a black eye" feat? that was done without spinich. he normally only uses spinach when he's facing a foe that is as strong, if not stronger than him. eating spinich is no more different than thanos having the IG or wolverine using his berserker state.
spinach lasts as long as the fight. once he eats it, it's over. he never needs to eat more than a can for a single fight.
true, OPM is still going on but popeye has been around in some form or another since 1929, meaning he has about 90+ years worth of feats to his name.
even when compared to other toon forcers, popeye is in a galaxy of his own. both bugs and felix have lost encounters. popeye only loses when he either lets himself lose or someone else eats the green stuff.
and you wanna know something crazy. wiz and boomstick LOWBALLED popeye. he has even more crazier feats to his name: throwing down with greek gods, punching ghosts and making them tangible, punching stars into new constellations. i could go on.
in the end, saitama could punch REALLY REALLY REALLY hard but that's nothing to popeye. his greatest rival, bluto, is about as strong as popeye and even he can't beat him.
@@maxacorn I admit, the idea I had of the spinach time limit was because of me trying to give Popeye some "real world" metabolism: when we do some extreme routines of exercise or we fight battles for long periods of time, the human body burns its energy much faster than normal, and what we consumed before is rapidly spent. But I forgot that Popeye was from an era of cartoons where anything and everything could happen and he prevailed most of the time. Thanks for the new intel you gave.

@@mileshk8083 no problem. also, FYI, popeye does indeed work out, due to the fact that he is a pro-boxer and does do a lot of training for it. there are many shorts with popeye roadwork, jump ropes, weight training, etc.

All-Time Favourite Death Battle: Madara VS Aizen
A moment that means something to me is the friendly banter and mutual encouragement from both All Might and Might Guy to keep showing one another the best things they have to offer. It's one of those moments that really transcends being a Death Battle, and instead become two friends who want to see the pinnacle of what the other can do.
First Death Battle I seen was Goku vs Superman or Godzilla vs Gamera I honestly forgot but it was one of them for sure.
Favorite 3 is Really hard I may change some but First 1 is Hulk vs Broly) second 2 one is. Godzilla vs Gamera. And Third 3 one is.
Ghost Rider vs Lobo or Goku vs Superman both 1 and 2 even tho I hate the ending for both but still Super Cool. Favorite moments will be Spiderman vs Batman when he web sling lunch kick Batman in half taking the win. Godzilla vs Gamera when Godzilla Throw Gamera up in the sky and ending him with his Spiral Ray Beam. And last is either Goku doing the X 10 Khamehameha running after Superman and Broly fighting Hulk in Space destroying everything.
My favorite little easter egg in this is that the Spinach in the store, is right next to the Olive Oil. Nice little touch.

The Most Best Epic Battle! 🥳 Saitama finally found the strongest opponent with who he had always dreamed of fighting! He was able to experience strong emotions again, as at the very beginning of his path to becoming a hero! Sad he is died and turned in Egg ... since this is Death Battle 😕, but Popeye's ToonForce is so absurd that he can revive Saitama anytime he wants!😀

Terra vs Toph should of been the fight originally not Toph vs Gaara I still say Gaara shouldn't have lost. Starfire could go against anyone I don't particularly have one I wanna see specifically. Raven I wanna see against Scarlet Witch & Silver Surfer because I wanna see Trigon vs Galactus. Cheetah could go against many I feel but one from marvel comes to mind Tigra I believe is her name a lesser known heroine that helps She-Hulk & the Hulk at times as well as the Avengers in the comics. Supergirl could go against Ms. Marvel I always thought of Supergirl or Powergirl going against Ms. Marvel or Captain Marvel. I am a bit salty they picked the only character that made sense for Saitama that he couldn't beat. Hell I belie Saitama could beat Supreme Superman more often than not by that I mean pre-crisis Superman I thought of Goku, Jiran or Kenshiro going against Saitama as well.
