The Subaru Crosstrek has the best AWD system, top rated safety equipment, best ground clearance, top reliability, large cargo space and much more. Should be higher on the list than the Nissan, Hyundai, and chevy.
I just saw a Kicks on the road right before I got home and saw this video. That thing looks GOOD and very substantial IRL. Overall I think it’s a great blend of everything and I think its interior is second only to the Mazda. If they offer a version with more power I think it’d be my pick.
Hey, where in the Hell is the Honda HRV? And, why do you gloss over RELIABILITY? Sure a Seltos and Kona looks good, but RELIABILITY cannot be underscored!!!
I cannot believe that almost all of the top 5 are low in reliability. That is the MOST important category and should be weighted. Who wants to breakdown or have your car in the shop?
@@gooberhellgodI was debating trading in my HRV for the seltos for more standard features. Reliability isn't that big of a deal to me since most cars are pretty durable.
As stated in the video, if reliability is the only thing you care about, feel free to sort by that. As for the HR-V, it is kept out of the top 10 by its anemic powertrain, poor fuel economy, quality of tech on most trims and higher-than-average prices.
I just purchased a 2025 Nissan Kicks SR in Oct.2024! I Got the 2tone Red roof & Gun Metallic body, it looks Hott!! I'm impressed with the Redesign, smooth ride,Gas mileage, Tech and Roominess! People constantly ask...What is that? I say Nissan Kicks!! Sooo just a matter of preference,Check it out.❤ I'm glad to see it made your Top list.❤
I drive an MX-5 and REALLY wanted my wife to get the CX-30, but she didn’t like it and it’s a bit too small on the inside (funny coming from me) but we have a 90 pound dog we have to lug around and went with the Seltos. Absolutely cavernous on the inside, great tech, and great on gas!
Hey guys! Great video once again! I’m looking at vehicles to buy my granddaughter for her first car. Car confections will be my only stop 😊 a small suggestion… Since you have pricing at the end of individual car videos, it would be nice to hear about the warranty as well. That way as you’re making final notes while shopping it is all right there. Just a suggestion.
Thanks 😊 So glad we can help with that search! We have been saying the warranty at the end of the test drive section but I do like that idea of moving it to the Pricing section
I’m with Mason. I have been pursuing the purchase of one of these for about three weeks now. Very impressed. The only downfall shown is in the resale category. Probably hamstrung because of Nissans financial woes of late. Only time will tell.
Not really, it's one of the slowest vehicles on the road today. Taking over ten seconds to reach 60mph. Too slow to safely drive on a highway in my opinion.
@@CarConfections Thank you! I see each of the rating factors has equal weight except "Value under $30K", which has twice the weight. Personally, I believe "Reliability" is far more important than "Value under $30K". Applying my own weighting criteria to your scores, the Toyota Corolla Cross and Subaru Crosstrek finish on top. Good to know.
i think you need to revise your reliability ratings. no way the chevy and Buicks are as reliable as the corolla cross. also, the cx-30 is way more reliable than the kicks.
People only take into account the reliability that’s reported of the first 3 years😒 the Mazdas powertrain is going to outlive the gm twins by a huge margin yet no one seems to care about that these days😅
Yup. The Chevy Trax/Buick Envista are great for what you get, but the wet timing belt alone should set off red flags for reliability. Same with the Nissan Kicks and its CVT. I trust Toyota’s CVT and Mazda’s six speed automatic transmission more. Toyota’s reliability history is well known and Mazda’s reliability after they broke off with their partnership with Ford has been rock solid for the most part.
@mqayyum9226 If you re-evaluate all removing the value for price under $30k, then you will have the position you think, but you will be paying more, this video is including that category.
great review!!! thank you so much for both of your hard work hope yall have a wonderful and warm Christmas. I have a question for you guys. Between Lexus UX 250h and ES 300h. my main usage is 70% in the city and 30% on highway/freeway. I always prefer gas savers and hope the vehicle can keep its value after years of driving.

Thank you!! 😊we appreciate your support! You make it all possible!!
Mazda all day

I got the same feeling when I was at a mall. Before the refresh, it was pretty forgettable.

This!

HRV is overpriced and hilariously underfeatured compared to the Korean models that are much nicer inside and out and get better fuel efficiency

Congrats on your new Kicks!
I'm glad I chose the cx-30 as my next car for 2025! I can't wait to drive it.
Where is honda hrv? 😢
That's not a subcompact; check out their compact suv video.
I love that blue color on the Seltos. It's a travesty it's not offered with the optional tan interior.
Mason for the Nissan & Drew for the Mazda > Tony for the Hyundai = great stuff guys
If the Taos had better reliability that would be the one I would pick. It has a lot of options the others don't even have.
They're reliable if you follow the maintenance schedule and change the oil every 5000 miles.
My thought too.

The white Kona seats look luxurious. CX 30 drives like a hatchback and cheaper than a Civic Hatchback.

I'd personally pick the Kona
The fact that the Honda HR-V isn’t on here is really weird.
Yeah. I think they reviewed it this year.
People don’t really care since it’s still the 2nd best seller by a comfortable margin
Not really, it's one of the slowest vehicles on the road today. Taking over ten seconds to reach 60mph. Too slow to safely drive on a highway in my opinion.
I think the CRV is considered a small compact not subcompact.
@@chezzyperson3339 the seats aren't as as comfortable as some other cars. I wouldn't take this on a long road trip.
I would have been interested in seeing a table of results of vehicles for each scoring criteria, as well as weighting for each criteria.

Fantastic video guys!😸
We really appreciate it!
Good video , I may of rated a difference way thank-you
My #1 pick was the chevy trax.
Will you guys do another video for compact SUV too?
Coming this Saturday!
@@CarConfectionsYes! Look forward to the compact comparison! This video was fantastic and so helpful. Hope y'all had a nice Christmas!
Why no love for the eclipse cross
Ford Mustang
Which 7 seater are you guys sitting in ?
edit: Ok got it QX80 😊
How come Buick Envista didn’t make the list even though it’s almost the same car as Chevy Trax
Mainly the space difference due to the sloping rear end kept it out of the top 10
Why didn’t you like the Lexus Tx As one of your top 5.

Thanks and same to you! We prefer the ES since it's more powerful, spacious and better equipped than the UX 👍
I hope you two are getting filthy rich because your website is priceless.
Not really haha but very glad to hear you found it useful! It's a new thing for us so your feedback is much appreciated.
I don't know about these reliability score testings, the Mazda is wayy to low specially compared to some if these GM vehicles...
Sounds like you have questions about how reliability is determined. Check out www.carconfections.com/reliability for info about that.
If Honda doesn't rescue Nissan, will buying the Kicks end up being a kick in the derriere?
😂
Hyundais/Kias are easy to steal and they catch fire.
Trax =137 H/P no thanks !
Kicks smoke all rhese vehicles
That's the CVT smoking.
