      Good job Quick Man. you analyzed and seem to be acquainted with the 8-bit sound chips of the NES , seeing as how it was the grounds you were brought into existence on. I bet Wily drew some inspiration from sans and basically made a sans themed robot master. Then that old timer might actually have Mega Man stumped!

      +Larry Psuedonym I beg your pardon. Nothing is impossible and here;s a proof: i.imgur.com/qzJ0jU5.jpg . I know it's Famicom, but it can also run on NES with just a little modifications.

      +Milos and Chip Jockey (Milos) I stand corrected.

    •  8 лет назад +4

      +Kaiden Mikami I would be happy even if it was just a simple NES game with Ricoh 2A03 sound chip and nothing more.
      Thinking about it, the game should have been simplified a lot to be able to make it run on NES, but still I think it could be decent if it's well done.

  • @Sir_Oblivious
    @Sir_Oblivious 8 лет назад +55

    I like how people are trying to think of how this would work on a NES cartridge. But nobody here is thinking of the SEGA systems.

    • @meeptroid5634
      @meeptroid5634 8 лет назад +12

      I think that's because this was created using a program that simulates specifically the NES sounds, and with major adjustment to both the sound file itself and a NEW or Famicom, there is the possibility of this running on real hardware. It probably would be possible on a Sega Master System with major adjustments and the FM sound expansion, but it would require a completely different sound format and might be just as hard to do on a Famicom or NES, if not harder, but it's most likely possible in some form or another.

    • @Sir_Oblivious
      @Sir_Oblivious 8 лет назад +6

      +Meeptroid Zero ooh. i didn't know that. welp now i know why it's called famitracker

    • @meeptroid5634
      @meeptroid5634 8 лет назад +6

      Yeah, there was a reason, but, major adjustments on Famicoms have proven that something like this is possible, and, the fact still remains, that, there is a very likely chance that if this is possible on a Famicom, then, with possible adjustments, there is the chance of it working on a Sega Master System, but yeah, there is a reason it's called Famitracker, and that's why you have so many people talking about Nintendo consoles here. Although, the idea of some kind of Undertale NES bootleg that people were talking about in a seperate discussion on this video sounds interesting, and if something like that actually happened, I would get ahold of a rom as soon as possible.

    • @Sir_Oblivious
      @Sir_Oblivious 8 лет назад +4

      +Meeptroid Zero If there became a NES bootleg, the Super NES would probably be the best contender. Given the capabilities of the superFX chip.

      +ReddehWow FDS, N163 and S5B are expansion chips that can be run without doubt on Famicom. It is still 8-bit no matter how many of them you put in your song. Here's a proof: i.imgur.com/qzJ0jU5.jpg
      Also, if you think that "8bit only has 4 channels" then for example songs from Contra, Journey to Silius and Gradius 2 are not real 8-bit since they're using 5 channels.

    • @StrikerTheHedgefox
      @StrikerTheHedgefox 8 лет назад +5

      +ReddehWow 8-Bit mainly refers to the data bus of a CPU or chip, ie. The number of bits of data that can be processed in one instruction. It can also refer to the number of registers and how a chip defines memory addresses. It doesn't have any effect on the number of channels it can have, that's just down to the capabilities of the sound chip being used. Multiple 8-bit audio chips can be used in tandem, like the various forms of expansion audio in some games for the Famicom. See: Lagrange Point soundtrack.

    • @StrikerTheHedgefox
      @StrikerTheHedgefox 8 лет назад +1

      *****

    There is no way something this good can be on an actual NES.

    I feel like if you tried to play this on an NES it'd probably take up 3/4ths of the cartridge space.

      +JayKuriN You can always include extra ram in the cartridge. Cartridges are multi-purpose use. (I made a reference there, do you know it?)

      ***** I'm saying that you can add extra ram to the console by putting it on the cartridge. A lot of games have done that on the NES. And I know the differences between RAM and ROM.

      It could be perfectly playable on a Famicom if the cartridge has all the expansion chips needed, but I don't know if the Famicom allows multiple expansions.

    if you used 0cc-FT, my only comment would be that you should try using the compressed view... that's why he added that, for huge modules like this
    other than that miniscule nitpick over the video editing, great cover! you earn a sub~
