Hello, I am thinking of getting a leopard gecko, I have done lots of research and have lots of savings to get quality items for his habitat. However, my parents are divorced so I am at both houses for one week each. My dad is fine with feeding him well I am away, however, I worry that I won’t be able to spend enough time with him. I have been wondering if it would be possible to transport him from house to house, in his habitat or even have 2 habitats with one at each house. I am wondering what you think I can do, I really don’t want to stress him out by switching his habitat/ location, what do you think I can do to raise him as well as possible? And if I am away every other week will I not be able to form a bond with him? My dad lives 40 mins away from my mom so it is a long journey as well. Any help/ advice would be great, thanks!

D K oh I feel you I have to switch from house to house to but my Leo seemed fine when I left him for a week and my mom fed him when he was younger and I have a pretty strong bond with him now so I think it would be fine just leaving it there but I had to transport him one week to my dads and he was really stressed the whole week so I think it would be better just leaving it away if someone is there to feed it

My mom is terrified of geckos and said she would let me have one as long as she didn’t have to touch it...lol. Well a couple of months later after I saved up some money we went to a reptile store and they helped us buy a tank and the food and they were just wonderful! Well, they said they had one baby Crestie left so we asked if we could see it. My mom was the first one to hold it and she was lik: “omg Elena.... it’s sooo cuutteee! Let’s name it Stevie.” U WOT MATE??
So apparently she loves them now. At least cresties.

You can always double up on timers so that the first timer goes on for a minute and then the second timer turns on for a minute 30 seconds later
That way the first timer will turn off earlier giving you less time than a minute

I have a very serious question that you may be able to answer. The exo terra mister (portable hand pump) uses a white lubricant that does get into the spray. I noticed it in my Geckos water. Do you know if it's non toxic? I tried to register on the exo terra site but website is down temporarily.

Hi! So I have a question about crested geckos, I recently started doing lots of research and my parents said I could get one! I’m going to hopefully feed it insects like silk worms about once a week. What do I do about calcium and supplements? I don’t know what to do and I can’t find anything about it online! I will dust the silk worms with calcium without D3, since I will be feeding mainly Pangea/repashy. But what about supplements? Do they need supplements? I’m so confused!

You could always use less nozzels in the tank.

I think it helps that it's spread over three, but yeah if i had a smaller tank I'd probably use less 🙈

I got a critter crate for my leopard geckos crickets and there was a little sponge in it for water and the crickets ate a hole in it do I throw them away or still feed them

Still feed them. Just remove the sponge and gutload the crickets with veggies. Wait until they have the sponge out of their systems.

Hey I've got just one crestie, and I have no problem with feeding her insects but I can only get them in a box of like 40-60. I dont know what to do with all of them bc I obviously don't need so many!
How do you guys all do this?

Best solution: get more geckos to eat them 😂
You might be able to get them in smaller quantities off of rainbowmealworms.com. I don’t have personal experience buying from the site tho, so I can’t say for sure

Apollo 9 digital timers. I think its programmable
up to 8 times a day - 7 days a week - you can use it for as low as 2 seconds to 2 minutes.
