When I met Castro back in 97 he shared with me one of the original cohiba. Obv the best smoke I ever or will ever had. Fidel is a great host as well...missed greatly.
So much for untouched! Nat Sherman wasn't stupid. I cant blame him for smoking a couple of these cigars. Are these cigars one of a kind. yes. Are they unique and special. Without a doubt. But they are not relics or ancient archeological discoveries . The cigars were made to be consumed and enjoyed! Good for him. I laughed my ass off when they thought these were untouched.
I remember walking by the shop some time in the mid-90's and seeing this humidor sitting in the window with the drawers slightly opened and noticing the sun fading on the cigars. At the time, I was a bit shocked. I knew they were special. Still, glad to have seen it in person. Thanks for the additional details.
It is great to see how cigars of this grade are kept, stored and treated. I am a big fan on how you review cigars and allow your subscribers to follow you on your various cigar adventures. Keep it up the good work.
Haha, I love it. "They should have that vintage smell. But I don't think we're gonna do that... or are we..." haha, then "You smell that? that tells you, these are still smokeable." ....... hahaha. I would do the same.
A friend of mine brought me back about 75 cigars or so from Cuba. 100% better than anything Ive smoked here in the states. H upman, Fuente have come very close.
Historical occasion and no one can focus the camera. Truly shameful. And who the hell takes someone's price collections and sticks his nose up the end? But hey at least you were there in person.
Just gorgeous. What an honor. My very first cigar ever was purchased at that very store. The Nat Sherman Hampton. I was forever changed.

One of the best pre embargo Cuban Cigars I ever smoked was an Extra Claro.

So much for “untouched” and “I’m not gonna touch it”
Part 2 was taken down :(
perfect..
So they didn't humidify the cigars?!
It's by the Buena Vista Social Club
not sure of the name
Btw, Ajay, was the vitola you're trying to think of diadema or salomon? Just wondering what it was as i'm sure you've recalled it by now. haha
Ajay is it green due to aging or it is what we know as a Candela Wrapper?
anyone knows the song playing at the start?

If we had the privilege of a purchase, I wonder what would be the price?
So if, and I know its a so remote "if", what would a single stick cost?
Ennio Cavuoto, they have to be between $500-1000 a stick.

Nat *Sharman*? Sheesh.
So when Nat Sherman's store closed in 2020, what happened to these cigars and other similar vintage inventory?
threw it away

These Cigars have a Candela wrapper, do they not?
I thought Cuban cigars were never wrapped in cellophane?
Preembargo was
Chan Chan
It would been better if they were Cohiba.
Smoke those sticks, their already past it.
$6,000,000 per cigar

Fancy tales?
Why was that lady talking doesn't she know her place.
Damn straight! Only time she needs to open her mouth is to give head.
