Reagan, as SAG president, the union fought against studios profiting off of actors' image without paying them when content is distributed, copied, and mass produced via VHS tapes. Fast forward to now, studios have found a way around that, with the argument that content has become "private" via streaming, but are still profiting off of actor's image.

It is most likely that there will eventually be regulations to protect a person's likeness. That will make the studio just use the likeness of people that don't exist, like in video games.

I'll say it because many are thinking it. How did Hollywood and the entertainment industry treat the half the country they politically disagreed with over the past few years? Ohhhh not just their content, not just their award show rants, not just the A listers. A great number on the social media whether it be Twitter or Instagram have expressed how they feel about us, and now Im supposed to care????????/
I know, NOW we must recognize the nuance and not lump all people under the same umbrella,. Many in Hollywood are just getting by and living on a dream. Funny NOW I have to recognize the individual among the mass. After George Floyd did the cops get that benefit? During the pandemic those that RIGHTFULLY didnt trust big pharma and didnt get vaxxed, did we get that individual benefit are where we lumped together? After the day between 5 and 7 of the first month, did or did not people lump ALL together under one banner.?
I have ZERO sympathy for any involved in this decline of Hollywood, you did it to yourselves.

I wish the powers that be that own those platforms would treat the actors, writers, directors, the people who do the music, and those who work behind the scenes, their true worth as artists, who are doing this thing they love, for a living. I don't mind a few commercial breaks when watching a favourite TV show or movie, or paying a couple of bucks for an episode, a full season, or feature film (if I can afford it ) only if the money goes towards those who truly deserve it.

I am so tired of this Merging Streamers, removes the Some Disney+, and Max Movies, Cancels the seasons, and most of all… That Greedy CEOs and forced to shut down to all productions. Especially most of the Movies I’ve wanted to see:
More Episodes of Disney Channel’s Bunk’d Season 7.
    Wicked Part 1 and 2.
    Beetlejuice 2.
    Lilo and Stitch Disney Remake.
And the Final Season of Cobra Kai.
And the REST OF THE MOVIES AND TELEVISIONS AS ALL OF US WANT TO SEE IT!!!
WE WANT THEM COMPLETED WITH WRITERS AND ACTORS!!! We support them all the way. All the way!!!
If you CEOs don’t make deal in August, not longer until October or late winter… You’ll LOSE YOUR JOBS TOO!!!
Ignore the lackluster reviews and keep filming and look forward for ALL THE WRITERS AND ALL THE ACTORS!!! Paid them fair!!! Paid them well!!! Just paid them who are trying to work so hard for you CEOS.
MAKE THE DEAL FAST!!! AND RESUME THE PRODUCTIONS!!! From T.L.

The actor and writer strike carries the risk of inadvertently increasing the use of AI in Hollywood. While the strike is primarily about fair compensation and worker rights, one of the major concerns voiced by the actors is the potential threat of artificial intelligence to their profession. However, the prolonged strike and the disruption it causes to the industry could inadvertently push studios towards relying more heavily on AI technology.
