What most individuals do not realize is, how that chair she is sitting in is capable of surviving that journey through time unscathed. That's one heck of a chair and where can I get one.
She controls time and matter, presumably the chair survives because she wants it to, and because it’s convenient for her. It also serves as a visual representation of her existence outside of the normal plane, how she becomes a spectator and is no longer a participant.
Obviously this movie is hypothetical but that’s what I love about it. Films like these that leave you with endless curiosity and a spiral of emotion. I didn’t know what to feel or think when watching this.

This film is so fascinating. On one hand, it's a bunch of science-y sounding nonsense that has zero actual merit, but wow is it neat to see. On the other hand, you have this fantastic allegory of the birth of God that is so clear throughout, and is even blatantly shown by the "Creation of Adam" moment between Lucy and the hominid. Lucy develops from a dying mortal to a telekinetic superhuman to an actual immortal, omniscient, and omnipotent being who briefly guides humanity before presumably bowing out and letting things run their course. Sincerely. Super cool film, and the ending scenes are just killer for nailing the themes firmly into place.
The concept is " we use 10% of our sub conscious brain power ". You can literally imagine anything and make it workout here. Lucy is incredible visual feast 💛
.. and the concept is utterly bullshyte. I utterly hate it. Ever seen a man or woman use 100% of their brain power? It's called a _Grand mal_ , an epileptic seizure. And titular character Lucy sure as rain had one, a continuing one which is called "status epilepticus" - which puts you into a vegetative state pretty quick pretty finally. Hooray for Hollywood perpetuated misinformation. That being said, the movie was a nice mix between action, eye candy and Mr.Freeman's deep voice contemplating our place in the grand scale of things while being pure popcorn kino.

I think almost everyone misunderstood the ending. The title Lucy doesn't necessarily refer to ScarJo's character, but could just as likely refer to the primate she touches at the end. "Lucy" is the name given to the oldest known "human ancestor", at an estimated 3.2 million years old. Lucy the character tells Morgan Freeman she'll find a way to get the information to him, and everyone believes this to be the thumb drive, but it's not. When Lucy reaches out and touches "Lucy", she genetically encoded the information within her, thereby assuring the information would pass down through time. The thumb drive is a key. Once you figure out how to use the key, you can unlock the full knowledge. It's most likely higher math that no one knows and a whole bunch of physics and other stuff that would take "Time" to figure out, the one constant the gives legitimacy to all things. So once we're far enough along in our evolution, we'd be able to unlock it.

This may be science fiction to many beings, but I feel this movie has given a glimpse that there is more to this life than what we have conceived it to be for the sake of our own weak sanity. Wow. I love this film. Do you think that this scene shows her transforming into the best thing she can be? I feel lots of emotions watching this clip. I think almost everyone misunderstood the ending. The title Lucy doesn't necessarily refer to ScarJo's character, but could just as likely refer to the primate she touches at the end. "Lucy" is the name given to the oldest known "human ancestor", at an estimated 3.2 million years old. Lucy the character tells Morgan Freeman she'll find a way to get the information to him, and everyone believes this to be the thumb drive, but it's not. When Lucy reaches out and touches "Lucy", she genetically encoded the information within her, thereby assuring the information would pass down through time. The thumb drive is a key. Once you figure out how to use the key, you can unlock the full knowledge. It's most likely higher math that no one knows and a whole bunch of physics and other stuff that would take "Time" to figure out, the one constant the gives legitimacy to all things. So once we're far enough along in our evolution, we'd be able to unlock it.

I think when Lucy is "travelling through time" its really based on the theory that if you know ALL the positions, velocities and ALL other possible variables of every particle in the universe at any given time you can extrapolate the state of the universe at any other point in time. its very disturbing that the whole movie is based on one of the biggest misconceptions of all time. i get that its supposed to be science fiction still somehow its just stupid.
True but didn’t you ever play imaginary games with your siblings or friends where you ultimately just said “I can do it because I use all of my brain all the time” I did. At least when I was little. That’s kinda what this movie was.
