MEGA!!! I have been using the speakers since November 2022, I recommend them, they are excellent and have a wide range of uses!

Great review! What compact sub woofer is a good option to use with a pair of these speakers to create a nice sounding compact micro system for small acoustic gigs?

Thanks! Electro-Voice do a couple of compact active subwoofers. The ELX200 12SP is a good 12" inch option as it has the DSP on the back. musicgeardirect.co.uk/electro-voice-elx200-12sp-lightweight-12-1200w-active-subwoofer/ Not to mention the EVERSE 8 has a dedicated ELX200-12SP crossover setting within the 'SUB' menu in the DSP.
There's also the EV ZXA1 which is very similar but does not have the DSP.

EV ELX200-12SP or Bose Sub1. If you want inexpensive at $350 Behringer B1200, you can buy two!

Wish you had tested the power of the microphone preamps. In the Bose S1Pro, those are pretty weak. Even the big fat JBL Eon One has pretty pitiful mic preamps. Duh. But can't use a condenser microphone with these stage speakers because of the amount of feedback they generate. I discovered a couple of weeks a gadget called a Lo-Z to Hi-Z transformer (mine is a Shure A85F which costs about $22 here in the USA) which boosts the mic volume of a dynamic mic by a few dB without the need for phantom power. And no distortion.

Nice speaker but you can only use it as a waterproof speaker via Bluetooth. To connect anything to it you need a rain cover, something you can get for any speaker so a bit of a con in my eyes.

You would never want to run this thing in rain…that rating for weatherproofing is basic protection if you get caught in bad weather, your speaker won’t be ruined but regardless your cables will always want to be protected

Nice speaker for sure, but what's the point in having a rain cover? You need to plug wires in back there.
Also it has a stupid name " Everse8". What does that even mean?

Bit of Bose and a bit of JBL, and you got a EV

Eh, sorry mate! I own a JBL Eon One and did own a Bose S1Pro which I traded in (I'm in the USA) for the Everse8. Wow, wow, what a difference; the Everse8 is truly a next-generation speaker. Far superior to either the ones I mentioned! The Mic preamps on both of those are pretty pathetic! Not so with the Everse8. Powerful yet high fidelity. Love it.
