- www.tedxlausanne.org - Dr Tej Tadi, a neuroscientist, founded MindMaze (www.mindmaze.ch) in 2011 to develop technologies that help patients recover from brain injuries. Last year his company successfully launched devices, which use virtual reality, brain imaging and gaming technologies to retrain the brain in stroke victims. MindMaze is now developing solutions for spinal cord injury and amputee patients.
Our brain decodes the world for us but what would happen if it malfunctioned? This happens daily to millions of patients around the world, seriously impairing their ability to carry out simple tasks we take for granted. Dr Tej Tadi explains his revolutionary multidisciplinary, multisensory approach which uses novel diagnostic and therapeutic metrics to accelerate brain recovery. He also gives tips on how to translate a concept into business reality.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
My brother at 59 suffered a Massive Stroke, right side paralyzed, Aphasia. Living in Assisted Living. Sweetest guy in the world!

I agree with u. I am going thru it
I had a stroke last year, and i want to know how can i get help from this? Please reply thank you
This project looks like a modified and specialised version of the Xbox Kinect for stroke patients, and proves that the development of technology through every medium is for the growth of humanity.
I couldn't help but think the same while watching. Maybe Microsoft would sponsor a competition for this?
I also think that the movement jitters we saw represented in the software shown here could & should be smoothed out, so the patient's experience is more seamless.
Laura porter who did you see/go to for therapy? My 50yr old bf had stroke 8wks ago and is in chittenango ny, looking to help in anyway possible.
How is he
I highly recommend Burke. I did in patient for three weeks and I am now in their outpatient program
This tool must work, I think! My recollection of being in bed in stroke icu (Syracuse NY) is that every inch of my being wanted immediate action. I didn't want my brain to accept my condition for ANY time. My brain mostly recovered, miraculously, from great treatment, yet I recognize the incredible "magic" that would have happened with such a device. AWESOME!!!
Laura, How are you feeling now ?
Mostly good. It took several years, but I went gluten free and now am almost grain free keto. Right hand fine motor issues only are noticed by me. More than a few sips of alcohol bring on stroke symptoms... not enjoyable. I have 3 dead spots & ought not speak, walk & more, but teach & am independent. SLEEP is critical.
@@lauraporter3434 thanks for responding. I’m glad you are doing well. Diet is crucial to make a healthy recovery. Also, the amazing medical attention you received God sent. After several years are you back working?
@@lauraporter3434 I had a mild stroke in July luckily I didn’t lose memory or motor movement. Just feel fatigued all the time. I’m doing Keto and IF which is helping
@@lauraporter3434 any other tips you can advise
How to get this device iam 28 yearss old and a stroke survivor
早期介入,镜像神经元,定量的评价指标。
He’s wasting time and resources reinventing the wheel. Or literally the Nintendo wii.
At least the games have to be customized. Patients cannot play regular games.
Wait, wait, what? 15 millions people have stroke yearly, what translates to a stroke every 45 seconds? A year has 31 milions seconds. Or maybe he doesn't pronounce the number legibly.
