Having been one of those visitors, I can say that it is definitely worth your time to visit the house. From the grounds, to the buildings, to the artwork, it is all very impressive. Did I mention it's also a nice way step away from urban sprawl without every leaving the city?

Where did Jim go when he walked away from Moonlight Cottage in the Cameron Highlands that Easter afternoon, 1967?

A great house! I toured it about the same time you put in this comment. Only problem was that I did it during the day and, as William Warren says, it is not really meant to be seen during the day. Nonetheless, one can tell when touring it, even during the day, that it is a fantastic place. Except for the lack of air conditioning. If I had title to the place I would install industrial strength refrigeration in it!!;-)

this documentary is completely let down by so much boring footage of paying tourists drinking and having dinner in Thompson's house.
for sure he would be horrified that his beautiful home has been turned into a zoo.
