Just noting that the producer of this film, commissioned by the Jim Thompson foundation, is the same who recently produced a narrowly distributed doc exploring the theory that Jim was murdered by the CPM.
I wonder what the foundation thinks of this.
Remarkable man. Tragic disappearance, no matter the cause. Silver lining is that the second legend of his life, as well as his beautiful home and enduring company, help bring attention to the story of the first legend of Jim, his life.
    Thanks for sharing.

Almost as bad as all the Cambodian lands stolen by Thailand and its people. Absolutely Disgusting.

    Hello,
Since as a viewer of this page, you are likely aware of the Jim Thompson disappearance, please be aware that I have recently published a report on the case from a scientific search and rescue (SAR) point of view - this has never been done before. I was able to track down and interview members and leaders of the 1967 search, evaluate the quantity and quality of the search, and analyze the search strategy and tactics, using modern principles from the (US) National Association for SAR and the seminal book “Lost Person Behavior.” I was also able to eliminate about half of the possible causes cited in the press, impeach two and evaluate the other eye-witnesses who claimed to have seen Thompson after he left the LKP (last known point, the Moonlight Bungalow), evaluate the so-called “Bones of Jim Thompson,” and compile all the primary documents (CIA, FBI, US DoS, letters, wills, estate administrations, coroner’s reports, etc.) on the case. I was also able to lay out a road map to a possible (but not certain) future solution and clearance of the case.
This report is available gratis on my website at: www.themosttraveled.com/new/new_land.html. It is the second document on the page.
    Good hunting!

      Dear Mr Toulmin,
I enjoyed your presentation on ruclips.net/video/0ASjJgwDCBc/видео.html very much and had to think of you in view of the film 'Who Killed Jim Thompson' that just premiered at the Eugene Film Festival.
If he was murdered, it may have well been the butler that did it. That would explain a lot.
      The mystery remains...
      Best regards,
      Bart Brugman

Your report is amazing. Perhaps the most in-depth, and least speculative by nature that I have seen. Amazing wealth of resources as well. Thank you greatly for assembling and sharing. Deserves publishing.
