Sue for damages for the mileage that occurred while they were "impounded"
This is the same town that lets murders go on no bail. Think they give a fuck?
Lol mileage? Only? If you're suing, there are many other claims you'll be able to make other than just mileage.
I don't think the city of Detroit Michigan has any money I think they're bankrupt so good luck suing them
@@anthonybelyea1964oh, there's plenty of money in Detroit Michigan, there far from broke!...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@arecksONEcan sue under the 4th Amendment and entrapment.
They just admitted they're using those cars for entrapment
Yeah but that's only illegal for.. uh.. citizens, yeah that makes sense
entrapment isn't like a federal law or something it's only viable in certain places
Siezing your vehicle for "spectating" sounds like a violation of the 1st Amendment, regarding the right to freedom of assembly
And the 4th.
Most definitely so if you pull up at a red light and a drag race happens right in front of you, they can seize your car. Yeah sounds like typical bullshit cops would pull
That’s the scummiest shit I’ve ever heard
It's called Civil Asset Forfeiture and they can do it without ever even accusing you of a crime
Welcome to Detroit
@@Downtime36520 Welcome to the USA, the land of the oppressed!
@@Rick_Zune that as well yes😂
@@Rick_Zuneyea ok bud 😂 dont you have middle school homework to do?
"Enticing" is a synonym for "entrapping".
This is why all civil forfeiture laws should be deemed as unconstitutional they take your property and never charge you with a crime
Jealousy in a cop is bad news.
If the cops are using cars to open “entice” people went into drag racing, that is literally the definition of entrapment
Just rename the activity a “sting”, and it’s magically legal.
@@michaelnankervis6444 love to see a defense lawyer tear apart in court on that bullshit
No wonder auto manufacters and the automotive scene in detroit is dead. Detroit acting like the CCP.
Michigan government are domestic terrorists
The auto industry left first, then the corruption and crime came.🤔
@@Boggyboytadthe auto industry left because democrat politicians started popping up eventually forcing the auto industry to get away.
You don't know the half of it. It's much worse than this. BZtW. Google any high a ho in Detroit. Add the words test scores to the search. Not a single "graduate graduating" senior can pass both reading and arithmetic basic proficiency tests. (4th grade level). The police Chief? He "graduated" from one of these schools.
Because it governed and run by Democrats. That's why it's a 💩 city.
Basically, if somebody drives a nice car into Detroit, the cops are more likely to take it than the criminals. That's definitely a good way to make sure that nobody with any money ever visits your city.
Unlawful Seizure .... no evidence...no warrant.... unlawful seizure...
Civil asset forfeiture. And with qualified immunity, nothing you can do.
@@thewatchersofthewood3530And when they steal from people and push them into a corner hard enough and long enough, they will come out fighting. Then the cops will expect sympathy and praise for being on the front lines of crime fighting.
I'm an old guy. If they steal 10 grand from me I already know I'm not likely to live long to get it back through the courts IF I can afford to put up that battle, but I promise I'm going to get my monies worth back out of them or finish up in the process.
4th ammendment violation it was a seizure of his property by the police@thewatchersofthewood3530
@@thewatchersofthewood3530buddy know the laws before you speak. This falls as a violation of the fourth amendment right against unlawful search AND seizure. Under said fourth amendment right, an LEO (or law enforcement officer) may not search or take possession of your vehicle without a warrant for said specific vehicle or without having an actual crime that you have committed, in which they are required to detain you for that crime, schedule a court date so that you may defend yourself from fines or jail time, and have sufficient reasoning for taking possession of the vehicle after all of that. An officer cannot simply take your vehicle for no reason, especially not without consent as that is again a violation of the fourth amendment. Learn the laws and guaranteed rights of citizens of the united states before you spread misinformation. Stay in school kid.
@@caydenhodges9981I think you need to learn the law. The other guy is absolutely right. It's civil asset forfeiture and its legal. Though it probably shouldn't be. They only have to suspect a crime to seize property, they don't even have to charge you. Then it's your responsibility to sue them for your stuff back. Legalized theft.
This is criminal, Sue the police as individuals, then sue the department and the state.
Get these corrupt cops outta Detroit people!! Screw people like this in any type of authority!
That would be, ALL OF THEM!!!
😂😂 good luck.with that it's the modern cops doing the classic motor city shake down
Yea that’s called entrapment and that’s illegal
Nothing is illegal when your an elected black politician in a 💩 hole like Detroit.
Corruption needs to be stopped
Are any police not corrupt??
And just who are the criminals?
Sounds like lack of due process and entrapment. Seems like a lovely place to live
It's called Civil Asset Forfeiture and every police department across the country does it, but if you google "worst cases of civil asset forfeiture" you'll see that the worst ones are in the south. In fact, look up Harris County Texas where they were literally taking the cash from everyone they pulled over.
Its a great place to be from, as in no longer there!
Well, that is unconstitional.
That's Bull Shit , Screw those corrupt cops
That's a violation of due process
you need to sue them..
That is so beyond fucked. Sue them to hell. Hopefully, you can get some amount of compensation. Such a broken system for this bullshit to occur.
It's time to put our government back in check.
With a BIGASS D355A bulldozer
We need to clear out both sides. They haven’t worked for us since WW2. It’s time to remind them who we are
Yep, and they're actively trying to disarm the population in many states because they know their time is about up. They'll say its for your safety, but it's the same government that allowed big pharma to create an opioid epidemic.
With lead.
That's not government it's local law
Such free country. Tell me more about how free you all are!
Not that I was ever going to go Detroit, I will now not even drive anywhere near Detroit if I ever drove that far North.
I can tell you from experience, it's not even worth changing planes at DTW (Detroit/Wayne County). I've never once had a good (or even acceptable) experience there after a dozen attempts. It's not even worth flying through, driving through is completely out of the question.
GRAND THEFT AND ENTRAPMENT... this is why ALL qualified immunity of EVERY policing agency MUST BE REVOKED.
immunity must be determined AFTER THE EVENT. not given freely before the event.
Thank you! I don't mind cops having qualified immunity, but only if they actually, i don't know, qualify for it? 😂 Giving police a free pass on everything if fucking dumb. I've been thinking maybe I should become a cop. I could finally drive how I want 😂
@@Raynedog00 my point.
They should have to ""QUALIFY"" for immunity
in court after the event.
Thinking that no repercussions for any thing one does is ridiculous.
Badge Wearers/Gestapo, Thieves.
I remember police using impounded cars from street racing, in their fleet back in the early 2000s. A car club member's 1st gen eclipse was spotted with ghost vinyl police on it after it was impounded, trying to goad people into racing.
Sue them
I’m surprised that they didn’t put in jail for suspicion of having money that they want. I have personal insight into the working of the Detroit Police Department. If you think this is something you’d be amazed if you knew the truth.
That’s nuts, they’re that corrupt??
It's called Civil Asset forfeiture and every poloce department across the country does it....they can literally take your stuff without Eben having to accuse you of a crime
Hey now, 95% of cops are making the rest of them look bad. ;)
@@dolphlundgren2820It's not even worth the risk changing planes at DTW.
@@oldsguy354 actually DTW is not in Detroit. I’d be worried about being in any airport if they decide to run an active shooter exercise. When they had the active shooter in Orlando, they subdued the shooter in about 15 minutes. But ran everybody, including old people around the airport, making them drop their luggage and get away from their cars for many hours they claim there could’ve been another active shooter. I think police were practicing. Overall, though I think Metro Airport is fairly safe.
Lawsuit time.
Sue the shit out that corrupt police department.
Because drag racing is the biggest problem in Detroit
I wouldn't say it's the biggest problem I would say it's a big problem. But two wrongs don't make a right. Jessica someone else is breaking the law doesn't mean the cops get to break the law. That's the problem they have to work within the law. But they think they don't.
I hope that you filed a lawsuit.
Yeah file a lawsuit through the same broken system that employs the corrupted police force. Lemme know how that works for ya! 😂
"We did an internal investigation and determined we have done nothing wrong" 😂
@@Anthony-uk3hvIn case you didn’t know, you can escalate a court case past the city level and take it to the state court and even the supreme court after that.

I met this guy years ago on the highway coming home from Cleveland. Super cool dude
Literally the plot of NFS Heat IRL lol
Seems worth leaving the Lambos at home on the next trip to Detroit.
What "next trip to Detroit"???
Just never go to detrout
Well, no wonder that city is dying.
Corrupt cop. Who would have thought? Such a rare phenomenon.
That tree of liberty be looking mighty thirsty
When a cop is talking it’s lying.

Hey wasn’t this like the plot of NFS Heat or something-
Mistake - left wallet at home.
Cop mistake - multiple felony counts of grand theft auto and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.
Its detroit i wouldn't expect anything less
Typical tyrant cops, A holes
Of all the crap that happens today, Civil Asset forfeiture and seizure is the thing that would most piss off the founding fathers.
That's what happens in commy blue cities.
Yeah and you have no say over your body in fascist red states

Why do you people always feel the need to say something political
The murder rate in the 25 states that voted for Donald Trump has exceeded the murder rate in the 25 states that voted for Joe Biden in every year from 2000 to 2020.
-Over this 21-year span, this Red State murder gap has steadily widened from a low of 9% more per capita red state murders in 2003 and 2004 to 44% more per capita red state murders in 2019, before settling back to 43% in 2020.
-Altogether, the per capita Red State murder rate was 23% higher than the Blue State murder rate when all 21 years were combined.
-If Blue State murder rates were as high as Red State murder rates, Biden-voting states would have suffered over 45,000 more murders between 2000 and 2020.
*****Even when murders in the largest cities in red states are removed, overall murder rates in Trump-voting states were 12% higher than Biden-voting states across this 21-year period and were higher in 18 of the 21 years observed
I think if you have a Lamborghini or any car of that nature, it’s an inconvenience. It’s a true call for action when it happens to those who don’t have the means to defend themselves and thus have to submit to unjust treatment
What bugs the living crap out of me is NYC publicly crushing perfectly good dirt bikes. Meanwhile 70 miles away some kid has 4 miles of trails behind his house and his parents would love to buy him a bike but unfortunately cannot afford it.
Theres corription everywhere

Keep exposing the truth
Mistake?
That was no mistake! The Chief knew damned well he was wrong, and that he'd never be held accountable!
Meanwhile, entire neighborhoods in Detroit were stripped of their copper, furnaces, and hot water heaters.
Yeah but at least they weren't speeding or drag racing.😅
they can take my car if they THINK i’ve been drag racing… lmao… what the fuck…
Then, we citizens can take their police cars. We paid for them through our taxes. We are our own judge and lawyer. We do not need unnecessary laws to keep you restricted from living freely. Common sense Laws.
What part of the chiefs plan is not ENTRAPMENT? Last I heard, that is ILLEGAL. Not to mention the whole idea of seizing vehical with NO evidence they were involved in a crime
Entrapment. I will never agree to the legality of that. NEVER.!
Your a better man than me because they would've had new holes to worry about
Police chief is pulling laws from the fast & furious universe
Fed should require video proof of the offense and warrant before taking anything.
Just remember..."Suspicion" is not REASONABLE ARTICULABLE SUSPICION... otherwise known as "evidence" that a crime HAS been committed or IS ABOUT to be committed... then they cannot legally and lawfully detain you REGARDLESS of what the cops "policies" are...
Note to self, stay away from detroit.
The only difference between a cop and crook is one has a badge.
This is so outrageous 🤬 These corrupt cops needs to be investigated and put in Jail ! 🤬
Instigating others to commit and spectate street racing just to establish probable cause and seize supercars is just outright scummy and illegal. You should sue him!
That’s unconstitutional and should be treated as such
That's a legit lawsuit
That sounds a lot like entrapment with extra steps
They can arrest on suspicion. We’re screwed.
Thats flat out THEFT.
John Hancock had the most prominent signature on the Declaration of Independence.
Spectated is where you draw the line like you weren’t even doing it
Sue them. Take all that tax money and make their police station down a level.
Arrest the chief, bring him on charge's and put him on trial, if he's convicted of any crimes he gets to go to prison for 20 years on each count. And no plea bargoaing allowed or time off for good behavior. He's going to do hard time.
Sue them into oblivion.
And they wonder why we don't trust them.
Lawsuit lawsuit lawsuit 😡😡😡
another good reason to add remote gps trackers and killswitches, just disable the car if the cops want to basically steal your car
A little thing called constitutional rights.
A previous call. BS cops.
Thats grossly illegal Detroit
So he's going to commit entrapment? Willfully? With illegally seized private property?
I would definitely sue the police department and the department of justice for the time they had your vehicles, defamation, and everything else possible
So what you're saying is if you're driving your Lamborghini in Detroit take off the license plates and if you see blue lights flip them the bird and drop a gear disappear
that should be illegal for cops to accuse you of a crime with out proof of a crime being committed
Sitting in a fancy car in McD's parking lot enjoying a Big Mac.
2 of these cop cars pull up at light in front of you.
Cop cars start to race.
Your car is impounded for "Spectating" because you looked.
Entrapment is a crime, right?
No, but it's an affirmative defense against being charged with the thing you're trying to entrap them for. Also sets the police department up for a lawsuit they'd likely lose.
We used to call that corruption.
He admitted to entrapment! Wtf
Sound like the plot of Need For Speed Heat.💀
Land of the free.
For spectating street racing!
So the vehicles were impounded for a reason
@@jamil_cars apparently not or they wouldn't have gotten them back ... civil asset forfeiture is dumb as f*ck.

Couldn't pay me enough to even visit Detroit.
Detroit, where even the cops and mayor are criminals.
That sounds like a federal lawsuit
Modern policing used to be called larceny. 😢
Get a lawyer and Sue!
The dumbest thing is that they do that because they "think" you've witnessed street racing. Youre not arrested or charged with anything and then they go around parading the cars around like "look at us we're great"
