      @@thewatchersofthewood3530buddy know the laws before you speak. This falls as a violation of the fourth amendment right against unlawful search AND seizure. Under said fourth amendment right, an LEO (or law enforcement officer) may not search or take possession of your vehicle without a warrant for said specific vehicle or without having an actual crime that you have committed, in which they are required to detain you for that crime, schedule a court date so that you may defend yourself from fines or jail time, and have sufficient reasoning for taking possession of the vehicle after all of that. An officer cannot simply take your vehicle for no reason, especially not without consent as that is again a violation of the fourth amendment. Learn the laws and guaranteed rights of citizens of the united states before you spread misinformation. Stay in school kid.

      It's called Civil Asset Forfeiture and every police department across the country does it, but if you google "worst cases of civil asset forfeiture" you'll see that the worst ones are in the south. In fact, look up Harris County Texas where they were literally taking the cash from everyone they pulled over.

      I can tell you from experience, it's not even worth changing planes at DTW (Detroit/Wayne County). I've never once had a good (or even acceptable) experience there after a dozen attempts. It's not even worth flying through, driving through is completely out of the question.

    I remember police using impounded cars from street racing, in their fleet back in the early 2000s. A car club member's 1st gen eclipse was spotted with ghost vinyl police on it after it was impounded, trying to goad people into racing.

      @@oldsguy354 actually DTW is not in Detroit. I’d be worried about being in any airport if they decide to run an active shooter exercise. When they had the active shooter in Orlando, they subdued the shooter in about 15 minutes. But ran everybody, including old people around the airport, making them drop their luggage and get away from their cars for many hours they claim there could’ve been another active shooter. I think police were practicing. Overall, though I think Metro Airport is fairly safe.
