This album is absolutely phenomenal. This is the most unique black metal mix I've ever personally heard. It's black metal as all hell, but silky-smooth as fuck at the same time. Beautiful and inspiring.

Amazing and unique. I love how every album is different from each other and how Alexander puts lots of attention to detail with every aspect of each album so that the quality is as high as it could be, and the more gothic influences of this album are another example of that. The Ruins Of Beverast took my breath away back in 2017 with Exuvia, and this album is just as amazing IMO
He took a much softer direction with this album. Some of the quieter parts evoke the same feelings as good 80s/90s gothic rock. I definitely liked Exuvia for the more ferocious/brutal sound, but this one is cool in a completely different more mellow and atmospheric way.
So... Much... passion in what Alexander von Meilenwald does. My brain feeling like it's receiving a massage as I roll my eyes to the back of my head. Imagination taking me to a cold landscape subdued by ambience and psychedelia. If you enjoyed Drown's Subaqueous and don't mind Type O Negative then be prepared for a lush environment.

Pre-ordered the new album a month ago and anticipating it greatly. To this point, I’ve only listened to the two tracks that were previously released and “Ropes Into Eden”, all of which I’ve enjoyed immensely. What I’ve heard to this point already has me thinking this will be a strong Album Of The Year contender as I’m on board with this new direction after listening to each of those three tracks multiple times and they only get better with each listen. The vanguard of the thinking man’s metal has still got it!
6:55 guitar tone kicks in and covers me in goosebumps. I didn't think TRoB's follow up to Exuvia could come close but I was wrong. This is incredible and I haven't listened to the whole thing yet.
There are so many things to admire about The Ruins of Beverast and the mastermind behind it. My god the riffs, the atmosphere, lyrics, the arrangement. All of these make it a masterpiece but what really puts it on an absolute other level is the rhythm. In some parts it is so groovy and in other parts the off-beat rhythm leaves you on the edge and these other elements so well-done carries you away
