Now, for the first time I can see the actual release of new material, I get an amazing album but terrible news altogether. Urfaust is forever done. It's over. How can I overcome such grief? I think Urfaust's music itself has touched this matter many times. They leave behind a myriad of great experimentation in metal music and some badass songs. They always symbolized cicles of life and death in their music, so what is left for us is their music to enjoy for eternity. Remember kids: Life is finite and short, art that touches the soul is eternal. All hail Urfaust! Stay natty kids!

Of course, I had no idea that this was the beginning of an intensive musical journey, which lasts for 11 years meanwhile (fortunately, I clicked on the link). I was fascinated of this unique Band from the very first moment, especially from this haunting voice of IX. In 2019, I have seen them live in Vienna. I remember very well when they played 'Die kalte Teufelsfaust'. I also liked everything they released since I found them, also the more Ambient based Releases. They evolved their music in a very interesting way. With this fantastic Album, the project Urfaust may be finished, or let's say, completed. but their music will go with me for the rest of my life. Thank you guys, for creating great music for 20 years!

Funny how I used to talk to the drummer all the time back in the day online, but did not know he was in Urfaust haha. Urfaust is great and so is the amazing Fluisterwoud. Both bands unique and crazy in their own ways!
I had the chance to see them twice. At first I was very apprehensive before going there because I had completely appropriated their music by listening to it for years on headphones, and I was afraid of being disappointed by my excessively high expectations. In the end, I wasn't disappointed at all, and on the contrary, I found all the magic and intimacy of their music on stage, and it was magnificent!

I saw the only Urfaust gig in 2015 in Helsinki, and this left a lasting impression on me. The band's music creates the right kind of charge in the depths of my mind. That same evening, DBR also took to the same stage, which was also an equally authentic and ritual entity.
@@JdjdbNdjdb Do you have any specific situation or riffs on your mind? Or is it just general opinion? I always thought they have pretty distinct, personal sound. Even on new albums like Teufelsgeist.
@@Zhuntovany.Kavalir see comments below about the theft of symbols and banner used in their live performance which caused them to have to disband. as for their style its not very unique, many bands are having this same style of singing especially. if you know black metal you know this band was very mainstream for a reason
One of my favorite bands of all time. Geist ist Teufel is in my top 10 easily. I didn't realize this came out and that it is their last album. I've gotten very drunk for just this occasion. Their name graces the back of my battle vest. HAIL URFAUST!!! MAY INTOXICATION BE PRAISED!!! IN WINE THERE IS TRUTH.
This is (somehow) my first time hearing the band, and I’m really impressed. I’ve always felt like psychedelic bm hasn’t been explored enough. That coupled with a healthy mix of doom tops this off perfectly 👌 Also the vocals remind me of Mike Scheidt from Yob at times, which can’t be a bad thing!
