That was great. I'd be interested also to see a video where you might discuss the similar dynamics between the Sephardim and ashkenizm in the UK. I've been doing a lot of research on this myself from a genealogy perspective. I descend from both comunities

Have you or can you do a video teaching about the expulsion of Jews from Spain and how some of them went to New Spain in the Americas, i have Spanish ancestry from Colorado and I’ve always wondered if I’ve had Sephardic Jewish because I know from my great grandma that Jews were around where she grew up and I’ve always been curious about that history. I appreciate this video too btw!

@@HenryAbramsonPhDIs there a source to find Bordeaux surnames in 1600's? How does one contact you?

Mine left Bordeaux and La Rochelle after Edict of Nantes. Both were notable families in the Reformation and I suspect from Jewish lineage. Yes enjoyed this very much.

This was so interesting! Thank you! I'm trying to understand my roots. My family is from the north of Spain (Santander, Cantabria), but two of my recently discovered cousins told me our ancestors actually came from France, and they were possibly jews. Our Spanish last name (Presmanes) is a possible conversion of the last name Pressman. But I have no more info, so I'm in the looking!

Shalom, I know this is not related to this video but I have a question about the prophet Daniel because he not only did not resist Chaldean rule but actually came to work for them would that have been seen as him collaborating with the enemy? If not why?

What do you expect? God told him that Nebuchadnezzar II is one of God's servants, so he says go with him because the original Jews have become infidels.

isn't "international trade" a euphemism for the (triangular) slave trade?
