@@markstrains1 Its coming along... been doing a lot of tweaking of the shelf layout (level 9)... hope to have a progress video out some time this weekend...Thanks. T4
This layout plan is exactley what I've been trying to find. Thank you so much for providing us a layout that's exciting and and easy enough for us newbies to follow. I took ton's of screen shots but if your ever willing to send the file via email please let me know. I actually have goosebumps knowing I found my future layout.. thanks again!!
I am new to this hobby and already hooked! I have a question about the incline. I did see that item 6-12896 was used on the tunnel entrance. Do you have the measurements of the support that allows the proper incline?
I don't know exactly what incline they used - but I'm pretty sure it was 4% grade. It is one of the styrofoam graduated inclines from the hobby store. Thanks for commenting! Merry Christmas!
Great layout, I am in the process of bringing a 25 year dormant layout back to life. was originally lionel tubular. do you provide any consulting? Do you know anyone in the Cleveland area that might provide on site service?
Thank you! It sounds like you're undertaking an interesting project. We haven't done any 'consulting' - yet. But if you comment a question on one of my videos that Mike, Mark, or I know the answer to - we'll post an answer. We are in Central/Eastern Ohio, but I have a friend that is a long time, train enthusiast, who works in Cleveland sometimes - I'll let him know about this post!
Hi Brent - Great presentation. I was wondering since you converted this layout over from the K Line Super Snap track to Fast Track with Scarm, is it possible to change it to MTH Realtrax? I never used Scarm. Is Scarm hard to understand / operate? What I need are the track plans to be converted to MTH if this is possible. Thanks for helping me try to solve this problem. Have a great day.
The Scarm program has MTH Realtrax System - "MTH-O-RT"- so it is possible. The Scarm program has a little learning curve. I've been using it for 5 years. There is (or was) a free version that had limited functionality - but will give you a chance to check it out and see if it will work for you. I really liked it and bought the paid version. The free version might be enough for you. Hope this is helpful! Thanks for the comment - God bless!
Hi Brent - from someone who has been HO scale and wanting to branch out to O Gauge - the reverse loops, doing this with my HO i would need insulated rail joiners and reverse the polarity manually. With Lionel 3 rail track do you need to do that, ive seen other posts saying reverse loops are not a power issue. (hope that makes sense in what im asking - LOL)
I've only had HO and N size layouts until about 5 years ago - so I know what you're talking about. The answer is 'No'. there is no issue at all (with power) when making a reverse loop with the 3 Rail, O Gauge track. The inside rail is the "positive" side and the outside rails are the "negative" side. Another nice thing about the O Gauge: if you want to designate a track as a "parking area" for your engines, you only have to insulate the center rail. Hope that helps!
No. I don't have any way to distribute the file which is why I made the video. You're welcome to use the video, create the file in SCARM and make any adjustments you want 👍🚂
Great Layout. Enjoyed your use of a Wye on the top loop. You could easily convert the bottom reversing loop to include a figure 8 in your bottom oval and be able to reverse trains in two directions. My small 027 layout has an oval and figure 8 in one loop and double dog bone in the other, both allowing reversing in two directions with a Wye between the two main outside loops for a whole lot of reversing. ruclips.net/channel/UC45cQFSQMyx-Jebd18x7UWw Charlie
The original video was one of the first that I watched when I really started getting back into the hobby.
That is great to hear! Thank you for letting us know (Mike, Mark, & me)! 🚂🤠
That is a sharp little plan for a limited space. Not surprising it is so popular along with the video. Thanks, Brent! T4
You're welcome! There have been a lot of comments asking for the track plan. It is really cool. Thanks for the comment!
How is the nine level layout coming?

Very nice I love it I think it's a really fun layout to ride trains on to
That's the first time I ever did screen recording on the computer - that layout was a really good subject to do it with.
It looks very good turned out great very nice job I no that video editing is tuff
Now that is nothing short of amazing!!! Gave me some ideas.
I love to hear that: "Gave me some ideas." The "amazing" stuff is good to hear too - thanks, Bob!
Thank you!
You're welcome! Merry Christmas!
Thanks much.

Great layout! Now I have my Christmas 2022 layout! Can you share your wiring plan? Thanks Dennis
Glad you like it. I don't know about a wiring plan - I think that is above my pay grade. Thanks for watching!
this is crazy amazing!!!!
Thank you very much!

Thanks! 🚂
This is a great layout, is there any way that I could get a copy of the SCARM file? Would gladly pay for it.
Thanks

Can this layout be duplicated with tradtional 3 rail tubular track? thanks much!
Has anyone made this layout wiyh Fastrack? How did you wire it?
Why not use 072 radius corners?
👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
is there a way to get the file so i can add on to it?
