Thanks so much for this tutorial! I recently found a 310XL in working order at an antique store (they didn't know what they had so I got a great bargain). I was disappointed to find that a lot of the film speeds that it used are no longer available, but this really helps.
I wish you had explained a bit more as to why one should notch-hack for these film stocks versus others. that is the critical information, not just tungsten/daylight switch positions or whether the exposure control plate is up or down.
hi can someone help me I recently bought this camera and I noticed that on the viewfinder has on the corner a small red filder, does anyone know if this will be on the film
Thanks but please do a complete new update, when I read all the comments I am confused. I like to use the camera with Kodak Vision 2 200T and also with Black&White Tri X.
@Caspersdaddy Yes, you're absolutely correct. You could also just leave the camera set to the "sun" position leaving in the wratten filter. Thanks for catching that little but oh so important detail.
You could definitely use the 50D and maybe the 200T, but I would definitely stay away from the 500T. You're already going to have issues with not actually metering through the lens, so it's best to stick with stocks that don't stray too far from what the camera was made for.
Hey there, this is a great video. however, with the discontinuation of 64t, I now need to figure out how to make Ektachrome 100D look good. have you had any success with that yet?
Just made the change to the title but I still talk about Vision3 stocks when in fact they should be referenced as Vision2. Thanks for catching this and sorry for the confusion!!
can anyone relieve me of my confusion of how I keep seeing a spec on this lens as f/1.0??? That's simply not possible (on a fixed zoom lens super 8 at least). I've seen that figure pop up a few times already.

I like the 'cheat sheets" taped to the side of the camera . Good idea.
Hi - great video!
I guess you need to screw on a colour conversion filter if you are shooting outdoors when using this method?

Do you think I could use vision 3 with this camera?

I found a camera like this on the junkyard and it works like a sharm. By the way, Very informative video.
What about using an 100 D film? Would that work? thanks
