- I have been growing my beard and hair out for just under a year. I was doing this to be an extra in a movie for my church. My wife was a good sport about the hair and beard, but was ready for it to be gone. (After it was gone, she did admit she missed the beard)
Kellie from Oakridge Barbers was awesome! She was kind, professional and gave a kick-butt haircut! If you live in the Northern Utah area, make sure you go get your hair cut by her! Here is their link:

The clean cut look is definitely the best one. I love a beard on a man providing it is under control, clean and well groomed. I appreciate his initial appearance was for a role but it was very much the cave man look.

I think both looks have their pros and cons. You also could have had a haircut without cutting away so much and your beard trimmed. That would have been a very good option which I would have prefered.

@@curiouscat3384 Why is totally irrelevant, I agree with Lisa 100%, he looked terrible with the hair/beard, unclean, I have a lot of empathy for people who through no fault of their own have become homeless and crushed by an economy that is destroying lives, but I would not have wanted to get within 10 feet of the before no matter what his reasons were for growing it out. But, to want to look like that intentionally is just bizarre. So please take the exclamations points and put them back where you pulled them out of.

@@mrcvry No, I have always loved the clean-cut look... long before I ever cut hair. Since I was a kid, my biggest pet peeves have been mullets, comb-overs, and long beards! I just love the whole manicured look... from a haircut to fashion, home design, landscaping, and everything in between!

@@mrcvry I know, lol! I started out as a barber on a Navy base and currently work in a barbershop near the state trooper barracks and my husband's firehouse... I do lots of high and tight haircuts, but not many beard trims. One of the troopers comes and gets a skin fade flattop every 5 days.... religiously!

The amazing reason that he was letting all the hair grow takes my breath away. And the transformation is fabulous but I also thought that the beard was the biggest issue and did need to be trimmed. Either way he’s a handsome man and I hope he’s happy with the transformation.
