Like others said, you are bypassing the filter. Not a good idea at all. The air enters from the bottom and up through the filter. You are just bypassing the filter altogether.
Wow, got to say I love the change in induction note. It highlights why I love riding my 390 Adventure over my Z900b you can flog the crap out of it without flogging the crap out of it and enjoy the full spectrum rpm induction note. The Z900 has an absolutely exquisite induction roar between 7 and 10000 rpm but I can only enjoy that in third and fourth gear in limited circumstances. I get just as many thrills out of the 390 on the tar up to 130 kph (95% of my riding) with the bonus of being able to rip it down a gravel road. Nice video mate.
Careful! Most people recommend not fitting this without ECU upgrade/remap as they have a tendency to run very lean which could lead to all sorts of horrible issues!
@@Screamifyoumeanit Don't or at least reconsider, there's better options... The coober is over priced and not really great, same for their support. I bought the LM ecu, together with an airbox lid and a decat pipe. Decat pipe didn't fit, so I wanted to return the complete order. They told me the LM ecu was a 'custom product', so no return / refund. The ecu works, it makes the bike richer but it's not very smart. In the end I have the complete Coober kit in a box and ended up buying a Rapidbike Evo kit, runs way smoother and has a lot more options. The Rapid Bike can be used in the same way as the Coober, plugin and let it handle anything itself, autotune. But you can connect your laptop and change maps, so you could do a dyno run and create a really good basemap and set the AFR target for autotune. By the way, I'm not convinced the airbox lid route really adds more power. I already had a DNA filter and added the airbox lid (with the coober ECU), the bike ended up more loud but throttle respons was less snappy. The airbox lid is also in the box and not on the bike. If you want to go the airbox lid route, check DNA filters, they have a replacement for the normal filter but also an airbox lid that works a lot better than a plastic lid with foam, in the end you want more airflow but you also want good filtration. www.e-dnafilters.com/product/stage-2-3-applications/ktm/dna-1608/ktm-duks2/ktm-duke-series-17-23-dna-air-filter-stage-2-p-kt3n20-s2
Hi, Thanks... Prob best to read the comment below by MAXrider. It certainly makes the bike sound nicer, but it could cause issues. I would / will be buying the Coober decat kit which increases the fueling to match the air box lid & de-cat. www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjG7L74_KH0AhVagFwKHY0GC1UQFnoECBUQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.coober.eu%2Fproduct%2Fcoober-390-adventure-de-cat-kit%2F&usg=AOvVaw36oTxFs6kIif6StbOP7uZe
This mod is rubbish and bypasses the OEM engineered filtration. You need to stop futzing on your bike and concentrate on riding technique to go faster rather than cheesey mods.
Don't do this unless you want suck all the dirt from the road in it! You have no filter now!

Thanks... It does sound a lot nicer.
Terrible video he recommends a mod that will destroy your engine
A lid without a filter your bypassing filtration. Not good. I recommend the DNA filter lid.
Hello Friends
Where can y buy this cover ?

Thanks... Yer I was watching a vid about ECUs by Moto Mirus & he suggested they could run hot. I am thinking of getting a Coober kit. Thanks again.

Not to mention that this completely bypasses the filter, and will destroy your motor
Ce que tu fais est très mauvais ! L’air qui rentre dans le moteur n’est plus filtré !!!😳😳😳
I recommend you install this to ruin your engine and void your warranty!
Just go buy a Husky FE501……..
