Great interview. I know many OGs lost brothers, cousins and role models in these wars. I feel like sometimes this channel is a release of pain and memories held in for decades Mel. We have to ask many if they wish to share positive memories or words they remember from the lost brothers. Those lost soldiers deserve at least a posthumous tribute.
I remember hearing AC "King Bobalouie" Moses talking about Sugar Bear. I remember hearing about how he would do the Crip Walk and throw it up at the end and the Piru's would get mad. AC wouldn't let nothing happen to him. My point to all of this is, l had no idea he was a Carver Park Crip. Now imagine going to Capanella Park and having to fight your way back home. They did that to establish themselves as Baby Crips and it kinda sounds like the movie The Warriors. I'm wondering if the Watts Riots of the 60s divided Compton cats from Watts cats. Sounds off topic but it seems like CPT resisted anything from the outside. Did blacks in CPT sit out the riot because I think CPT was predominantly white at that time of the riot. We have no clear history of when or where the isolationism started. Which makes me think of the Watts Riot. There's some missing pieces to the puzzle.

@Rich Mc Because we want history to be documented comprehensively. That requires a specific, stepwise approach. Too much small talk or reminiscing leads to lack of details. Kev should do a biography on these people. It ain't no diss to Mel, but maybe he more suited for a different role. @Rich Mc Because we want history to be documented comprehensively. That requires a specific, stepwise approach. Too much small talk or reminiscing leads to lack of details. Kev should do a biography on these people. It ain't no diss to Mel, but maybe he more suited for a different role.
