You have an excellent style of teaching - calming and reassuring voice. I'm not a beginner, but I enjoy these lessons as refresher courses. I forget a lot over the years I have been playing (35 yrs). 😊
Honestly, one of the best videos out there for the introduction to power chords. Really exlplains in detail and takes time with us beginners. Thank You!
awesome video...best instructions anywhere ..She is a great teacher for the beginner lessons...I subscribed to Guitar Tricks. I just wonder why the palm muting is not taken off much when the chord is struck (on first demonstration)...you should still hear a quick chord ring out a bit louder?..like the rock sound.
Teacher, I am just a beginner, just got my first electric guitar. I'm having extreme difficulty stretching my fingers to make these guitar chord shapes.I cannot stretch comfortably between the third and 5th fret with out at least one string sounding like "thrupp" when I strum.
Great question! You might want to consider signing up for a Guitar Tricks membership so you can get a complete training! Go to www.guitartricks.com for more details.
Made it to understand with tutorial and visual. Very clear. Best I've seen on YT. Goal to play like Jeff Beck ( I wonder if Fender would sponsor me ❓😁).
Good lesson. Objectives achieved. ✔ One point I picked up on though. For consistency and clarity, in my view would be preferable if you were to stick with the descriptive established taught guitar vernacular convention of "1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th finger" rather than "ring finger", "pinky" or - and, as I recall you didn't use in this lesson, other terms such as interchangeable "fore/index/pointer/trigger", middle finger, et al.
It's hard to learn on the top strings. I find it very difficult to get my fingers apart. One way to make it easier to learn is to remove the e, B, G string and move down D, A, E, much easier to learn to play and train your fingers.
She has been teaching me guitar for the last 6 weeks. Great lady. Awesome teacher.
