Did anyone else catch that hidden subtext about the innocent man being framed by a corrupt cop? Specifically something about said innocent man?
    *cough cough*

You know, I saw a critique of this episode a while ago. And at that moment, I realized the criticism was actually right. Instead of wasting five minutes of the Third Act on a fight scene that Bowman was OBVIOUSLY going to lose, the story would have been better served by Lois actually worming some more information out of him. Specifically, What was Bowman actually DOING at the victim's apartment that night? WHY did he kill her? And what gave him the idea to frame Walker? All legitimate questions, wouldn't you agree?

I completely agree!! This episode has a few plot holes for sure. I really thought we would get some sort of an explanation at the end of why he did what he did and what made walker the perfect scape goat of all people. It's weird we didn't find out more of why things happened the way they did. I appreciate you pointing this out!

@@miss.toonslover Well, I can't take credit for the idea (I was still a kid when I first saw this episode and at that age, it's just not something you think about). Like I said, that revelation actually came to me after I saw another review of the episode and I realized, "Damn man, you know, he's actually RIGHT. That WOULD have helped the story a lot". After all, when you're talking about a murder-mystery plot, motive IS important.
I mean, I suppose it's POSSIBLE that Warner Bros. may have stepped in and vetoed the gory details, like Fox reportedly did in the early days of Batman:TAS. Even though we actually DID see a couple characters getting straight-up KILLED in Superman:TAS, maybe they weren't TRULY willing to embrace that inner darkness until they got into the murky depths of Batman Beyond, which ended up having a MUCH higher body count.

You're good on taking breaks, even if they're a year long lol. XD As a new fan, I didn't even notice, I've just been watching all of your stuff, so I have no idea the gaps of how long it takes for you to make these episodes. Great stuff nevertheless! 👍 I should watch this series again, and Batman The Animated Series too. Timeless masterpieces.
