  • On Saturday, October 8th at 2pm EST we'll be hosting a live art sale with fan favorite comic artists Bart Sears, showing off several new to the market artworks which you can claim during the broadcast! There will be published pages, prelims, and some pinups.
Bart's been drawing professionally for over 35 years, working for DC, Marvel, Valiant, CrossGen, Image, Dark Horse and a number of independent publishers, all while being a dad to some truly amazing human beings and building some seriously bad gaming skills. He's worked on awesome titles including Valiant’s "XO Manowar" and "Turok," Marvel’s "Captain America and Falcon" and "Blade," and DC’s "Justice League Europe" and "Legends of the Dark Knight." He's well known for the cult classic art tutorial column Brutes and Babes that appeared in Wizard Magazine, which, to his amazement and delight, has inspired a generation of artists and spawned a new series of how-to-draw books called "Drawing Powerful Heroes," and the upcoming "Drawing Power: The Splash Page."
Bart's worked extensively in the toy and gaming industry, designing C.O.P.S., G.I. JOE and WWF boys toys for Hasbro, and X-Men figures for Toybiz, and in video games, producing concept art for multiple titles.
He is the creative force behind Ominous Press, telling relentless, powerful, compelling tales of heroes, and creating lessons and content for the Drawing Powerful Heroes series of books, soon to be writing and drawing "Giantkillers," and creating "Ominous:The Game."

Hi, I come to the series from the 1997 and 1998 video games and am now looking into the past of this brand. I am very pleased to have found such a recent interview with Bart Sears. Thanks a lot

Bart Sears needs to up with todd mcfarlane, jim lee, stan lee, jack kirby and Steve ditko. The man's a legend! I definitely love ❤️ his "Captain America 🇺🇸 & the Falcon 4 series comic 👍 truly magnificent. The man has done cartoons like the "COPS 👮‍♂️ Fighting Crime In The Future Of Time" which was amazing. He has done toys 🧸. There is no one touching his history or present nor his future! I mean no one - It's a shame that todd mcfarlane or stan lee don't talk about this guy. He should be everywhere. Jesus take a look at the biceps the chest, legs, the back. Maaaaannnn his artwork is 1st & 2nd to none! Why he's where he's at in his life now I don't know. Keep it up Bart Sears your work is forever.

I had only heard the Josh Middleton interview from Sidebar about Crossgen and he had a very different (negative) experience there. This was interesting to hear. Bart, if you want to do comics again, you should head over to the Comics Gate or Independent side.

Always loved Bart's work. His work and tutorials with Wizard magazine is so iconic and still relevant today. Great to see he is still around.
Question: how can we see if any lots are still up for grabs, as I missed the livestream.
