- Piano accompaniment of “Songs my mother taught me" ("Když mne stará matka"), the 4th of the Gypsy Songs ("Cigánské melodie") op.55 by Antonin Dvořák (1841-1904). The text is by Czech poet Adolf Heyduk (1835 - 1923). Original key of D major.

i find this difficult to listen to or sing sometimes without crying. Funny as the song is exactly about that. Dvorak captured these emotions so perfectly

very beautiful playing! but difficult to sing at this slow tempo :)
can speedup playback speed.. go to 3 vertical dots like : then choose playback speed , 1.75 ? Happy singing.. Then learn to (abdominal) breathe deeply ... then gradually slow it down and enjoy your low register eventually
@@davidleesn thanks i'll give it a try but also stylistically i don't think it should be this slow. i'm a czech speaker and the language flows a little faster

why does the piano sounds so extraordinary fine ? Do U also know the old version Fritz Kreisler played this piece ? I´ve practiced to it already and look for the piano accompaniment.
