Beethoven left tempi marks for a reason. While this sounds nice, this interpretation is much too slow.
Source? I have never seen tempo markings on this piece.
Beethoven's tempo markings are statistically about 10bpm too high for what most artists feel the music needs. Rivers of ink have been written about this.
keep in mind Blomstedt is 112 years old.
