Thank you for saying so. I do enjoy coming up with ideas, and I like the whole editing of the videos. I've been off my truck for two months now, and I hope to get back on my truck soon. And when I do, I'll certainly be making new content. Be safe out there, and I hope to meet you out there one day.
Does step deck put you into hauling a different category of freight with different types of shippers etc? Can you go right in to step deck or do you have to have prior flatbed experience?
It does not matter with Melton. You could have a flt bed one week and a step the next. As for freight. Yes, some shippers do not want to load stepdecks. Lot if the time with a step. You could be hauling heavy machinery or foam siding to lumber. You just never know.
@@myadventures126 Thanks for the info, I am glad to see your previous videos that you have time to get out on the bike while over the road. I am an avid cyclist looking to go into trucking around August. Good to know that you can keep up your exercise.
Awesome video! Would you recommend step-deck trucking for someone who’s bored hauling vans and wants some more action and challenges? I love driving, but I find myself getting bored and losing motivation due to lack of challenges and creativity. Securing a load properly on a step-deck seems something I’d really enjoy doing. Could be wrong lol
@Vlad_Shv i drove dry van for 10 months before I had enough. Like you said. It was boring with zero challenges. Now, five years doing flatbed, and I still love it. I'd say you would enjoy this more than what you are currently doing for sure. Thanks for commenting.
@@myadventures126 awesome! Thanks for the encouragement! I got stuck hauling vans for embarrassingly long time. Somehow I still managed to stay in good shape. I really want to do something that would keeps me moving! Step-deck trucking looks like a lot of fun lol Thanks again! Stay safe out there brother!
Been with Melton 5 yrs.,I just love your videos, and I always learn something. Please keep them coming.

Could we use J Hock and Wilntch straps to get more flexibility?
@amamamam7754 as far as a J Hook. I don't think our trailers have that ability 🤔. But you can talk to Safety. Yes, a winch strap should work.
Great video thanks
Thank you.
Cant you add more winches?
@@LIGHTNING-1971 you can. But it's not my trailer.
Thanks
No problem Thanks for watching and commenting.
What if you had 3 axel?
Would you be legal in California Florida and Wisconsin?
I really don't know what the laws are on three or more axles in those states.
