I bought one back in 1995, submerged it in a creek. Took off valve cover, flipped it over and pumped water out by pulling kickstart over and over. Next day put a new spark plug in it and cranked right up 😂….Someone stole it shortly after!
Had the 1977 version ..yellow. In my small tennessee home town if your bike was street legal, you wore a helmet, and carried no passengers then you could ride without a license at age 12. Those floors are spectacular
Just bought an old '77 DT100 for $200. It's in rough shape and has been sitting for 12 years. But I brought it home, cleaned the gas tank and she fired right up. Amazing bike.
Brings back so many great memories. My first bike was a ‘74 DT100 (gold with white logo and pin striping). LOVED it! Then I bought a ‘75 DT175, but it had some clutch issues. My father and I were very good at wrenching on cars and bikes, but could never get it quite right. So when the ‘78s came out, with the total new look and mono shock, I traded both bikes for a brand new 175. It looked exactly like that 100. Sure wish I still had it....
Had a 77 DT100..... great little bike. I was 13 at the time. Interesting that Yamaha changed their colours so often. I remember Yamaha being yellow, Kawasaki green, Honda red, and Suzuki blue. Had a great time riding the trails with my friends. No video games.......just quality times spent outdoors.
I had that exact bike when I was 12. For some reason my friends and I swapped the forks from a 175 onto it, which made it a little taller. Strange I have no recollection of what happened to it. I must’ve sold it to someone along the way.
Sick showroom! I wanna come see this place! Where is it? I have a 82 pe175 I’m almost done restoring, and looking at one of these as well. Love the vids! Thanks
I have a The exact same bike 800 mi on it original did not have to be restored still has the oil injector in it and I'm looking to sell it it's in that kind of shape or better
My first bike. Mom bought it in 1984, had 13 miles on it. I rode it everyday and made my dreams come true!

Had a new 1981 DT100 when I was a kid. I swear I've never had a bike with a lower first gear than that thing. 5 mph tops I think.

Beautiful little Yamaha 100 Ken. Whoever gets that's going to be one lucky son-of-a-gun.
Beautiful building! Floors look awesome
I had a green one. Great little bike 100% reliable.
My first bike a 1975. Thing never died
My first bike. Great memories. Curious what it sold for all ready to roll?
I had the same bike in the early 90s.

Nice bike but the service manual reads 95 psi for compression. I was very surprised to hear this one tested at 150.
I just bought a 1981 dt 100 yesterday

Nice bike. Not to make you feel bad or anything....but it was a balmy 33deg C (92deg F) here in Sydney today :D
I swapped a 360 motor into my dt250 back in the day.

Do you have any spares for a dt125 78/82?
I wonder why that DT100 is too small? My husband got one but not that small. Or maybe ken is just too big?😂
