    Fabulous stuff! My dad was in the wine business and insisted I watch this when it aired. So glad to see it available again. Kudos Mr Johnson!

    Watched the entire series and really enjoyed it.
    I have a question though regarding the neutral spirits used to fortify the wine. Do you by chance have any videos documenting the process of how and what they used? I assume it was distilled from wine as brandy or perhaps grappa. But was wondering if you documented that.

    Madeira isn't "remote" at all!
    Or: for Brits anything is remote, even the Hebrides!
    When, during the 1980's Britain was unreachable due to heavy storms, the British newspapers wrote about Europe:
    "Continent cut off!"
    Marvelous!!!
