      @carcodesecure Unfortunately, after swapping the control panel, it stopped working. Now, neither panel seems to have power. I'll try to repost here once I diagnose what caused it and what the solution is.

      Sounds like something shorted. Check your fuses

    • @THEOGGUNSHOW
      @THEOGGUNSHOW 8 месяцев назад

      @carcodesecure I did that the other day. But, I could have missed something. Some of the fuse box diagrams online are misleading. I'll look at the one that says it's for my vehicle's year and model and at first it looks correct, but then I'll notice that there's a very slight difference. I have a 328xi e90 with a build date of January 2008.

      Unfortunately not. I have the wiring look and mirrors ready to do it but haven’t done so. My plan is to do one this year!

    if the car has electric mirrors (not folding) and electric seats (not memory) does it still need new wiring fitted too? thanks for the help

    • @carcodesecure
      @carcodesecure  2 месяца назад

      Every e92 will have an electric mirror regardless, so that wouldn't affect anything. Having the electric seats should provide the correct wiring for the mirrors.

    I read somewhere (few places) that this folding mirrors have different wiring but it's plug & play here. So who is right?

    • @nicholashole749
      @nicholashole749 10 месяцев назад +1

      as to what i understand it is prewired if your car has power seat. but if it has manual seats it isnt prewired

    • @carcodesecure
      @carcodesecure  10 месяцев назад

      Yes if you have memory seats from factory then it’s plug and play for mirrors. If you don’t have power memory seats then wiring loom is required.
