You create such beautiful and unique stuff. I love the way you think outside of the box and dare to make your creativity blossom and end up with the enviable products you come away with. Your a true inspiration ❤
✨🌼❣️Awesome❣️🌼✨ The Hidden Clips looks Fantastic Margreth! Tim Holtz was useing some other stuff when he made a presentation of it in hes video, otherwise powder as many recommend. They still looks awesome ❣️❣️❣️ Thank you Margreth for shareing, they looks so cool ❣️❣️❣️
Fabulous project! The black and the kraft colors with the worn distressed look reminds me of my dad. This is because he was an auto mechanic and inventor and he actually built two old time Model A cars and invented several useful household devices. The old time interiors of those vehicles were like a black worn leather if memory serves me correctly and your project just took me back in time. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and now I know I need to make these hidden paperclip dangles in your style for some journal pages about that history regarding my late father.
Have you tried using clear embossing powder on the white pigment ink? Then it will set without smudging when you apply heat! Just a thought for saving time. I love this idea for a hidden paper clip. Love it!❤
Thanks for the reminder; have these dies too but always forget them 🫣 going to make these in pink; just started watching while minding my oven and pan; leaving a reaction so I won’t forget 💗🙏🏼🍀
Love these. But just a word of warning. Don’t use hand sanitizer on your stamps. It will dry them out and they will crack. Grab some stamp cleaner for red rubber. It conditions them and they will last forever. ❤. Yes pigment ink is a problem with some papers. The person who recommended clear embossing powder hit the nail on the head. Thanks for sharing
Miss Margreth fantastic idea. Do you think it was Timmy's card stock paper. It looks like it is shiny, maybe that is why the white ink didn't dry well. Try it on a different kind of cardstock and see if that works. They still turned out great. I watch Miss Jill all the time and she does fantastic on all her projects. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💖💖💖💖💖(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
Love the project! Pigment inks sit on the surface of the paper. If the paper/card has a coating the ink will not dry! I did a project for me to discover this! Pigment ink is great on Kraft card. You have inspired me to do an experiment! I will get back to you with the result! ❤❤❤
Thank you for making little mistakes so we know how to avoid the same. And, it's only paper (which I have to remind myself often). You are very talented and your ideas are awesome.
I love watching your videos, you make things very simple, thank you. You're a brilliant teacher. I love these, and I'm going to make some for a Steampunk theme journal, that I'm about to make. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. xx❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Another winner even with the oops moments as you always turn an oops into a positive result. Wondering if you also sanded the black surface of the paper a bit to release some of the shine? It might give the white ink a place to cling to and dry, I have a trick I use on my acrylic blocks to keep the stamps from falling off - I permanently keep a 1/2 inch wide by maybe 2 inch long strip of double sided tape on it. The tape works for a very long time. Thank you for all your loveliness and inspiration.
If you use white paint-say picket fence, then use ur brayer to make the paint thin and then put your stamp into the paint ,then it will stamp And dry perfectly 😊 but do it in small batches as the paint will dry fast and bopps your uncle you will have White stamping that doesn't smudge. Love this video Well, to be honest, i haven't used it on this particular paper. Learned this from Miss Paintalot here on youtube 😊
I use White Daisy ink. I think it’s from StampinUp. I have to wait for it to dry, too. I usually let it set over night. Love these hidden paper clips🤗💖🦋
This was a great video. Neat project with lots of different elements on it. I also appreciate that you allow us to see techniques that don’t work as well, and the different ways that you make up for things not going as planned.
These came out great. I especially like the one rounded corner for the "ticket." I'll have to remember to do that. ❤ As for the white stamping, your Stazon white should dry on the coated surface of the black kraft cardstock as it is made for non-porous surfaces. And to add on to the suggestions of using embossing powder to heat emboss the white stamping, Tim Holtz's frosted crystal embossing powder is matte so you won't have shiny embossed stamping on a grungy piece.
Cool grungy hidden paper clips. They look fantastic. I had that white Hero ink pad many many years ago. Had trouble with it not wanted to dry. I stopped using it back in the day.
They all turned out so pretty! I actually like the smudgy white in the background. If you want starker white you could try stazon ink. Thanks so much for sharing Margreth 😊
Fun and awesome project! I think the only thing you could have done is used clear or white embossing powder. But that probably wasn't the look you wanted. TFS❤
Love these cool paperclips in deed - and maybe even cooler crafting on wednesday, when you will craft with the blue winter paper set - I will count down the minutes for that one, because I looove the blue tones - yeeaahh 💙 Keep having fun sweetie 😍
Your tutorials are a delight-informative and enjoyable. I'm thrilled to have stumbled upon your RUclips channel. The end result of your project is truly lovely, and I appreciate you generously sharing it with us.
I used to do cards with stampin up stamps & have ink pads from them still! I have a white one, which I haven’t used in 20 years! I used it for “snowflakes” this year. Told myself, remember how juicy the white was, then thought well not after this long. Lo & behold, it was STILL juicy! I can’t believe it! There must be a large amount of water in white ink? Maybe if we leave them open for a while, they will dry out a little? Just had to share!
To make pigment ink dry I use embossing powder either clear or white on white ink. It is so fun to watch your videos as you experiment. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
Yes Yvonne it works very well even on paper that doesn’t absorb the ink. I think that many newer crafters aren’t aware of the difference between dye based inks and pigment ink. Pigment ink doesn’t always dry on some surfaces. The embossing powder sets it.
Those are awesome! So excited to have found your channel! My husband keeps asking what I’m giggling at! I have been binge watching your videos for beginners and love how you give alternative options if you don’t have all the tools. ❤
Hi Margreth. Stamping tip: if you clean the back of your stamps and blocks with isopropyl alcohol they will stick to your blocks better. IPA removes the naturally occurring oils that your hands deposit while handling stamps and blocks. ❤
Thank you for a great tutorial. As the black paper doesn’t absorb the white ink and thus does not dry, I won’t be buying it so thank you for trying stuff for us and seeing what works and what doesn’t. Love the hidden clips though. However I am still trying to work out the trick of gluing down the paper clips yet they are still able to clip on a page. Magic to me, lol.. It will bother me until I work out how it’s done. Love from England xx
Pigment ink will take forever to dry on coated cardstock, unless you emboss it, which wouldn’t be the look you want. StazOn (quick drying ink) does have a white color, but i find it’s not a real white white.
Love them! The smudge has a special charme! I bought Stazon opaque white what works pretty well. It comes with a dry pad and and ink bottle with what you cam control the moistness.
Your cardstock appears to be coated and stamping inks are not suitable for coated papers - they stay on the surface of the coating. Love what you created here - you always make such interesting projects, thank you.
Excellent project; so creative with those dangles! I loved your white stamping so I tried an experiment. I wiped the surface of my black TH cardstock very lightly with alcohol on a rag. It didn't remove any of the black color, but dulled the shine a bit. The only white ink I have is the Distress Picket Fence. It dried almost immediately on the alcohol wiped paper, it looks good, and it's stable, but it doesn't look as starkly white as the Hero pigment ink you used. Maybe this would work with the Hero ink?
I just got my first Tim Holtz stencils, chosen b/c I've seen you use them, "splatters" and "fractured." Thank you for all of your tutorials and great recommendations... Happy crafting!💜
They turned out fantastic! I have tried so many different white stamp pads on all different kinds of black papers, canvases, and much more! All, with NO success. Now I just white emboss to get that crisp white stamping that I was trying to get! I am kinda curious though… I wonder if you lightly sanded the paper first, and then stamp your white ink, if that would help at all?? 🤷♀️ 🙏🏽❤️
I tell you true - every time I watch your videos I learn, I am inspired, and ALWAYS…I smile! Your joy is contagious! Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure 😇
✨️Excellent✨️
Marvellous - thank you! ✌🏻🎨☕️

Fantastic idea 👍🏻😁
The smudged white ink made me think of shadows of erased chalk drawings on a blackboard.... Beautiful.
Cool 😁👍🏻😘

I like that you are embracing “it is what it is”- creating is not perfect.
😁☺️👍🏻
I love these and I think the stamping turned out wonderfully - definitely added to the grunginess.
Thanks ☺️
I love the black, red, kraft colour combo. White ink has always been a challenge. I like the 'not quite there' look...adds to the grunginess😊 TFS❤
😁👍🏻
Cute paper clips, the white ink on some finishes on paper dries if you emboss. But on these it kinda looks like worn chalk.
😁👍🏻

154 High Street is where the Free ghost tour in Edinburgh, Scotland starts.
😁👍🏻
You can stamp with acrylic paint and it will dry. You have to wash your stamps quickly though.
👍🏻😊
High Street is referring to do Sherlock Holmes so you get some Sherlock Holmes quotes and addresses in there
Sherlock lives at 221B Baker Street. :) The High street address refers to a haunted city tour in Scotland according to another commenter.
I thought it might be something like that 🤔😁
Pigment ink will take forever to dry on coated cardstock, unless you emboss it, which wouldn’t be the look you want. StazOn (quick drying ink) does have a white color, but i find it’s not a real white white.
