I make stockings for neighbors I've know for years, who are NOT into prepping or camping. I buy them "stocking stuffers" that come in handy for emergencies. Little butane camp stoves are 2 for $14 on eBay. Water purification tabs. Hot hands warmers. Misc flashlights. Tiny med kits, etc. They've learned more about it, since I started giving them this stuff. Now they are more prepared for emergencies and more self sufficient!
My sister had a DIY pocket bellows (I think it was made from a telescoping fly-swatter) but it broke this summer. Thanks for the reminder to add it to my list!
Hello 👋 Amanda, greetings from Northern California. Thank you for sharing this informative video. I really enjoyed it. All the best to you for your good health and safety. Take good care of yourself. I look forward to your next informative video. 🤗
i was gifted that PETZEL headlamp and the core for my birthday from my brother (along with a personalized leatherman!), was fun to see it in this video! i've also gifted my husband a pocket bellows! you're my FAVE amanda!
Love the gift ideas! I have the Big Agnes lights and the cast iron pie pans on my list after your episode on the hand held pies. Such a great idea. Hope I get them. 🎄🎅🎁🏕🌄
I'm totally getting the knot-tying kit for myself! I agree, use it or lose it, and I've definitely lost some of the skills I learned in the Navy on this one. I didn't know the tent lights came in red! I have the OG set of those, which I love, but red seems like a really nice option.... So many great suggestions!
I love, love, LOVE those Athleta trekking pants. I actually wore them today on my snowshoe hike. Super comfy! Perfect for hiking in the shoulder season and winter, pretty much when it's too cold out for me to wear shorts. Also, I just ordered the red Big Agnes tent lights. I had no idea I needed those until I saw your video so thank you for the recommendation. These are going to be fun to hang in my tent at night, especially now that it's getting dark so early now.
Same for me - if I'm not wearing shorts, then I'm usually in those Athleta pants! They're the best! The tent lights are so much fun. I hope you like them!
Great suggestions…I love those chairs! I really like my Garmin Instinct too! I can’t get over how reasonable the price is & how much utility is put into the watch.
I got the Survival book you mentioned and am excited to read it but since then my son passed away which is devistating for me. Should I hold off reading this till I am able to handle my emotions better or could it possibly help me through the grief.
I've been trying to find the pocket bellows on Amazon since your first video that had it, but it was sold out when I went to link and never came back in stock. Several other ones I found at that time have disappeared from Amazon too. Not sure if it's because "camping season" has passed for the year and they'll show up again in the Spring...or what the issue is. Unfortunately, the few that seem to be on Amazon right now are much lower quality items...but I'm going to keep looking because it sure beats getting your head down in a fire ring to try to rekindle a dying fire!!!
Amanda ! If you want to remove sapp from clothing , use alcool isopropyl. it will just take it off right away ;) i have saved many expensive pieces of clothing with that trick ;-) Thanks for your video ! Super gift ideas !
Bought the knot tying kit. Like you if i don't practice this regularly I lose them. That kit is ideal.
Great idea to include books! Thanks for sharing :)
You're welcome! I love to read and this year I read some great outdoor-themed books. I think I might make a full video with my current favorites!
I am ordering them for myself, not counting on my people to get it right lol.
What a personality, loved the items !

Just finished The Comfort Crisis. We need more book recommendations from you please!

I totally agree. Garmin watches can get so expensive but the instinct is reasonable and it can do so much!
Red light also doesn't trash your night vision as badly, so yeah... good choice, there.
Happy New Year
that garmin instinct is noice
I want that Big Agnes chair….. and your Blueberry Cobbler….. PLEASE………

Can you share the brand of the orange light weight jacket you've been wearing in your videos lately? I'm looking for something similar.
