psmart 2021: i'm getting used to it but i found the power button / fingerprint button a bit annoying, it was easy to pick up and switch on with either hand with the sensor at the back like the 2019 model, the button in the 2021 is in just the right place that if i'm just carrying the phone i keep turning it on by accident, i'm having to "train myself" to carry it with my thumb on the front, not the side. also personally sometimes i just want to know what the time is, i don't want a full unlock, and also i use the camera a lot, so it appears to turn on then turn the camera off and then turn off altogether sometimes, meaning i have to faff around unlocking the damn thing. also, apps are a pain, huawei appears to be making microsoft and google stuff harder to get at....not a good idea really. i've only had mine a few weeks and i use USB to download photos (another painful experience compared to the 2019 - dropbox is now a pain instead of easy) but the battery life is good, my old psmart 2019 never run completely flat (i tend to charge on USB while downloading photos every day though) and it was nearly always 80-90% at the end of the day. i have to say i just hit the upgrade button - if i'd known about the apps, the palavar to get photos downloaded i might've bought something else. it's all very well, and actually it's a very good idea, to compete with google and microsoft, but if you're going to shoot yourself in the foot to do it, well, maybe they ought to rethink.
Who else thinks that huawei should be un banned they make the best budget and flagship phones it was the only reason I stay on android if it stays like this I might need to go to iphone
The A51 would be my choice. For starters the looks are better. Bezels and punchhole are smaller. Ofcourse the Amoled screen of the A51 can't be ignored. But the biggest let down of the Huawei is the absence of gapps out of the box.
Man how you can say the display is the same when A51 is amoled and P smart 2021 is IPS.This is very important for battery life in dark mode usage and also for higher contrast and black level. Do your work theme at home next time!

If I leave that on while watching Netflix, and my pixel 2 battery falls to 15%, Netflix starts the previous episode. Another one isthe phone randomly switching off with Bluetooth enabled. Still one of the best phones around!

Im seriously thinking about just buying a Key 2 for those months but its not the Huaweis fault. The screen is fine for an ips but Ive seen better. Really like the battery life though.
I have the samsung and my brother has the huawei...the phones do not compare lol. Samsung is delicate and pretty,also it has a far better screen and camera despite being the same MPs (the huawei selfie camera is shockingly bad).The huawei is indeed slightly faster but it lacks apps like youtube,my brother says he can't download it and he visits yt through the browser which is annoying.
