But to musicians, the lack of harmony will be extremely obvious and the vocals will fall flat and wouldn’t have the same effect. Still, harmonies are still very important to give the vocals a more fuller sound, it’s just some people don’t dive deeper into the music and realize what’s going on

To my understanding, sounds like a melodic minor lick: D, D, B, B (this one is borrowed from melodic minor), C, D, Eb, F, D. And the harmony (on the left side) goes back to major for the final notes, playing Bb instead of B. That's what I hear, at least. So, It sounds kinda like a jazz lick. If you pay attention, you can actually hear the vocal harmony in the official audio, but It's masked behind the synths. The vocal harmony is actually mimicking the synth and it helps the song land on the next chord (which is a Gm, I think, harmony is a bit fuzzy there).
loona members vocal color are all different and unique in their own ways like choerry's smooth voice and gowon's crunchy voice (i love her part in star sm) hyunjin's soft voice don't even get me started with the vocal line kim lip, chuu, haseul but you can tell that they're all talented vocalists, loona solos already proved that.

0:40 i'm almost sure heejin was meant to sing this line originally but they thought she had too much lines and center time and gave it to kim lip so she didn't make to the final cut but they still used her as backup vocal LOL

The universe one was so bittersweet! I really loved hearing their individual vocal tones but it made me so sad I can't hear it well at all on the actual track.

Love this, really liked Olivia, Gowon, Yeojin and Vivi's lines in Universe. Have you been able to isolate all the adlibs in the final part of butterfly yet? The ending of that song is my fave but it's so hard to separate out all the different lines and harmonies going on, its so pretty.
To me I always like to think it’s Vivi but only because it does sound a bit like her and I’d like to think she got more than just a few little phrases as her lines-
