Good job on this info, very well done. I was a Little Caesars franchisee in Idaho for 3.5 years before I sold it. The day I sold my LC franchise was one of the BEST days of my life. Be careful if you are looking to open a LC and get into bed with this franchisor. It can be very risky business with this brand. Since 2019 when this was posted to youtube there are other things that make doing business with this brand even more risky. They now want new and existing franchisees to sign a contract that states that if they close early or at the end of the 10 year franchisee agreement, the franchisor can purchase all equipment to operate the business for as little as $5,000 if the franchisee decides not to re-up with another 10 year franchise agreement. That means that all the equipment that cost YOU $400k-$600k to open, can be purchased from you wither you like it or not, for $5,000 by the franchisor. All I have to say is BE CAREFUL with this brand!!! There is something to note, you mentioned that in 2016, 53 stores opened; 2017, 13 stores closed; and 2018, 100 stores closed. Please note that there were more stores that closed, that is just the "net" number after they calculate the number of new stores that opened minus the number of stores that closed. This means there were many more locations that closed, but this number of closures was off-set by the number of "new" stores that were opened. LC seems to now be focusing on opening locations in Mexico, the Philippines, and Thailand. It looks like many, many more locations will close in the US as the corporate folks run this brand into the ground here. If you think you can make lots of money selling a pizza for $5, think again. They told me there was lots of money in the $5 Hot-N-Ready, but they forgot to say all the money was for corporate, not the franchisee... SAD!!!

@@FranchiseCityOnline Thank you for bringing to light the issues that alot of LC franchisees are going through. just my 2 cents....LC advertises a $10.00 pizza and turns around and charges you another $1.00 for thin crust.??? Less is more??? Then to top that robbery off the charge you for each ingredient individually..i.e. 5 meat special now becomes a charge for each of the 5 meats. So your $10.00 special comes out to around $15.00. Only if you have regular crust does it come out ten bucks. Sent an email to them and of course NO RESPONSE. True quality!!!! LOL
I don't think I ever tried a Little Caesars pizza. They advertise heavily where I live though. I think it is unacceptable and unreasonable to have those clauses that people have to pay fees after the store closes. Not every store or location will work out. Sounds like Little Caesars is greedy and does not really care about its franchisees. I hate to say this but I don't like Dominoes or Pizza Hut pizza. At least the stores around me. I rather just make a Digiorno pizza and know it will be hot and ready when I want it. Its also rather decent quality.

I understand the point of these videos is to get callers for the services Franchise City offers, but when every video "review" is negative it shows one of 2 things: a bias, or lying. Either the franchises reviewed here are purposely chosen for review because they are bad investments (bias), or some of them are actually good & we are just being misinformed (lying). Either way, it makes the videos come off too market-y. My intent is not to bash the channel, just giving my take & hopefully some constructive criticism.
Unfortunately nobody watches the positive videos. (Of which we have made dozens btw) I would love to have thousands of views on our positive videos, but no such luck. We have positive reviews, interviews with franchises and also make videos on helping people invest in real Estate, find passive investments and set goals. Judging by your comment I assume you aren't clicking on them either!! ruclips.net/video/1yunaxZKyFE/видео.html . Thanks for visiting.
I own two little caesars franchise in California 1. ✅ Wrong First thing little caesars only take 3% ads 2. ✅ Wrong second thing little caesars Pizza 🍕 never force franchise to sell pizza for 5$ dollars they just recommend I sell hot-N- ready for 5.99
Glad you are happy with your decision! But you are wrong my friend. 1...WRONG.As stated in the video "up to 7%" HERE IS THEIR LATEST DISCLOSURE DOCUMENTS CHECK IT YOURSELF www.wdfi.org/apps/FranchiseSearch/details.aspx?id=621949&hash=159950717&search=external&type=GENERAL 2. PEOPLE HAD TO CLOSE THEIR STORES www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2018/10/22/kc-area-little-caesars-done-in-by-a-hot-deal.html
The numbers the OG reported are correct, not sure where you are getting 3% for advertising from. Hasn't been 3% for advertising is ages. Also OG is correct about them trying to keep franchisees at the $5 price point for HNR. I was a franchisee with one store in Idaho and there were two other large franchisees that had more than 50 stores each in their system. LC allowed them to raise their prices to $6.99 but wouldn't let me change my prices on my digital menu boards. We were all in the same area of a 25 mile radius. Do you wonder why they made all franchisees change to digital menu boards then kept control of all price changes? They want TOTAL CONTROL!
a lot of guys I work with eat little caesars all the time for the same reason they eat taco bell...super cheap. p.s. you really should do a video on NEXTAFF franchising.
Thanks for the question - we are seeing a lot of personal while u wait pizza franchises come to market. saturation could be an issue. They closed 20 locations last year which is not good for a system of their size. I don't know the details behind it - but red flag for sure.
I’ve traveled far up and and down the California coast. Pizza Hut is becoming trash almost everywhere. Opening a Little Caesar’s has always been a dream of our group, but their location configuration policies are an impediment.
As to the $5 deal here and elsewhere, think behind the numbers. A good restaurant runs at 34% food costs. Assume these deals are not "good" and costs are higher. For round numbers, assume $2 worth of food in your $5 pie. But you have to back it off even more. The commissary is probably buying it all for $1.25-1.50 at most. So you either have to ask what on earth kind of quality is this or how is there room for any margin?

I was just talking with a friend about why we've been seeing so many LC closing down. Out of curiosity, why did you frame those OG pokemon stickers hanging on right side of the screen? lol I think I may have those same stickers.
Depends on the franchise and what they offer - there are several in that space some good some bad. Did you see the emails I sent you last week? I included my calndar link if u would like to discuss.
If I had the money to open a franchise, I would seemingly, have enough money not to open a franchise. Like a McDonald's. Million or 2 to open one is too risky, despite the popularity. Also, Little Ceaser's pizza is like a place to go if they are the only one open at the time and you are really hungry. Domino;s, I believe, has improved their taste of the product, but the prices are way up now and I go to much better, less known places for much cheaper pizza like Barro's Pizza. Pizza Hut is OK, but I am biased on Pizza Hut. when I was a kid in Illinois, our local Pizza Hut was closed down due to getting caught using low quality sausage, I believe it was dog food level, on their pizzas. I have noticed PaPa Murphy's locations closing around here in the Phoenix area. I guess that is all I have to say. You are excellent presenting this information.
We had a guy open 2 Little Caesars franchises in a town of 45K, only to close one within 2 years. When we walked in, he was buying everyone's meal, ringing them up and paying cash out of pocket. While I was thankful for the generosity, it kinda devalued the pizza for us, and we never went back. It didn't help hearing how poorly the 2nd location had done, and how many 2nd chances he was giving his current staff right there in front of us. We only eat whole wheat now, so it's not even an option to return.
Lol don't hold back tell us how u really feel! That's a good question I'll have to look again but I believe that is all US based locations including non-traditional.
I think Pizza Hut started the $7.99 large carryout deal. Dominos followed, and now Papa John's does it too. Papa John's has the best quality of the three; Pizza Hut has gone down the drain.
Franchise City the zits on my face, even as a grown adult are likely from 90s Pizza Hut creations like stuff crust pizza and layered cheese triple decker pizza. All really greasy. I remember the old red roof restaurant locations but those seem to be nearly extinct. There are the new pizza hut meets Buffalo Wild Wings style locations that have promise. Their FDD unit numbers really surprise me. I
BurgerIM would be an interesting franchise to make a on because it's a smaller, less known chain and u could talk about the kind of path they're on and compare them to other franchise's that were once in burgerim's situation.. whether those franchises failed or flourished
I wonder what the ad fee is for. I have not seen a litter caesars ad in like 5 years. Everyone already knows to go there for cheap pizza and breadsticks. I think most little ceasars closed when all the kmarts closed as many were inside the kmarts

I live in north side of San Jose, CA where that location have a lot of homeless people and on top of that the BART station is opening up soon (more homeless people). Therefore $5 pizza will sale. I also checked on that store and they make $25,000 a week. With that and I’m estimating paying 70% with all fees and employees and everything else, you should get 20% - 30%. Therefore $20,000 to $30,000 a month. Please correct me if I’m wrong
You are most definitely wrong about the 20-30%. However we aren't suggesting that all stores struggle financially. We are simply cautioning buyers from making a hasty investment decision based on a "can't fail" mindset. A good location, owner abilities, demographics and demand and many other factors can lead to success, or failure.
Oh, OH, I have a question! So...what franchises allow you to open other franchise? Like does taco bell let you have a KFC, can you own/run 3 burger kings and have a Mcdonalds on the side? Run a 24/hour fitness and have a couple dairy queens? I hope I have made myself clear.
Great question! In the majority of contracts you can operate other businesses as long as they do not compete. (gym and donuts for example is OK, but no burger king and mcdonalds or kfc/taco bell) Some franchises you cant own any other businesses period but that is rare.
My main issue with buying a pizza franchise is this...IF that were what I really wanted to do I could start out small in an out of the way cheaper rent spot...get my product right...people will beat a path to your door if your pizza is good...just ask Red Savoy in Minnesota...I wouldn't answer to a corporate master...wouldn't pay franchise fees...could make my own decisions... No...pizza isn't that hard...I'm not doing it as pizza isn't healthy and has no real good long term future...and i have talked to MANY franchisees...there are so many lawsuits it is ridonkulous... and the courts are worse than useless as to what is fair...So no, I'm not a pizza franchise guy... But anyone even CONSIDERING doing this HAS to watch all they can on Franchise City to at least get the independent scoop (The company isn't going to tell you)...Be smart

Damn, even Auntie Annes is beating LC. Thats kind of crazy but given who LC has to compete with I guess it makes sense. I cant think of one direct Auntie Annes competitor; at least in my region.
14 stores in Australia. No chance of succeeding against Dominos and many many good quality local joints. Buyers be very aware. Contact me if you want some independent advice. No charge. Happy to help.
Working there is horrible
Great video. I'd really like to see a video on the Denny's franchise
I havn't seen a Pizza Hut in years
Can you do a video on opening up a Checkers franchise?
He is just giving you the straight talk. Of the food franchises that I have checked out, this guy is 100% right on.
"Pizza Pizza" should be "Shitty Shitty."
2004's $5.00 is 2019's $6.78
&
2019's $5.00 is 2004's $3.69
the little Caesar's in Columbia mo. are all very busy
Thanks for doing this!
Thanks for watching!
I own two little caesars franchise in California
1. ✅ Wrong First thing little caesars only take 3% ads
2. ✅ Wrong second thing little caesars Pizza 🍕 never force franchise to sell pizza for 5$ dollars they just recommend I sell hot-N- ready for 5.99
3. I own two little caesars Pizza 🍕 that was my best investment made since I came to this country.
DO YOU EVEN LIVE ON THIS PLANET? There has been multiple lawsuits concerning selling the $5 deal.
The hot and ready is awesome and the extra mosy bestest is kust un beatable. I enjoy this place very much
a lot of guys I work with eat little caesars all the time for the same reason they eat taco bell...super cheap.
p.s.
you really should do a video on NEXTAFF franchising.
Little Caesars Detroit style pizza is the best you can get at a franchise pizza shop.
Jet's pizza is better
How about Chipotle?
Not a franchise!
Robert, what do you think of Pie Five Pizza?
Thanks for the question - we are seeing a lot of personal while u wait pizza franchises come to market. saturation could be an issue. They closed 20 locations last year which is not good for a system of their size. I don't know the details behind it - but red flag for sure.
Pretty useful information.
Just had little Cesar’s yesterday. $5.30
Another awesome video!! Always was interested in little caesars
I’ve traveled far up and and down the California coast. Pizza Hut is becoming trash almost everywhere. Opening a Little Caesar’s has always been a dream of our group, but their location configuration policies are an impediment.
Great content. Very informative.
Auntie Annes next! Thanks
Thank you for bringing to light the issues that alot of LC franchisees are going through. We are currently living this video, and although it is great that SOME people are doing well, everything you report is true for others. The cold hard truth is a $5 pizza is just not possible everywhere, and those that enjoy that $5 pizza are enjoying it on the backs of small business owners that are sinking further and further in debt. Yes, you go in knowing there is a risk, however if the company was more transparent, you could make a more informed decision and not lose everything you own because the cost of everything increases, except your main selling item....the $5 hot n ready. I have sent this video to everyone we know, just so our family and friends understand better the mountainous issues that some franchisees are currently facing. Yes, some franchisees in certain states and areas will do well. But places with higher minimum wages, higher rent prices and the rising fees from the franchisor may not fare as well when you are prevented from increasing prices, as your cost of doing business steadily rises. At the end of it, you will work yourself to death just trying to break even. Even if some can sell, they will still take a hefty loss on the investment. Thank you for making this video!
can you some video on Bubbles Tea Shop??
I was just talking with a friend about why we've been seeing so many LC closing down.
Out of curiosity, why did you frame those OG pokemon stickers hanging on right side of the screen? lol I think I may have those same stickers.
Thanks for the question! Actually it's Neo-traditional tattoo flash....
The first chain to market halal pizza in the USA ...
@@FranchiseCityOnline yup, they're tattoos. I just found mine in their unopened package lol I can't believe they survived all these years
@@racequad9 Get them framed!
@@FranchiseCityOnline lol maybe
I remember when Kmart was a thing there was a Little Caesars at everyone.
Blue Jedi yep but it was like $3 a slice lol
Would love to see a video on the Checkers franchise. Love the channel, keep up the great work!
Thanks! I'll take a look
What do you think about a digital marketing franchise or media franchise?
A group of investors get together and pool resources. This also limits the risks.
Wow - that's crazy. I feel bad for the owner sounded like a good guy. Expensive lesson. Thanks for the comment!
i was waiting for this video. i even was going to ask in the last video. thank you.
Glad to help - thanks for watching!
Can u do a video on dollarama franchise
Del Taco or Wienerschnitzel?
What is a good 10k franchise start up
Antrion Hill lol
Thank you for the structured and informative videos
Can you do a video on Krispy Kreme
Thank you! I'll take a look at KK
Surprised to see pizza huts growth, their pizza is nasty and I rarely see locations. Do these numbers include combo stores with KFC and Taco Bell.
I feel like half of pizza huts numbers are combos Lol
Uhhh...pizza with actual real cheese is best. Too bad none of these franchises use real cheese.
They use real cheese product.
Same thing...right? ;)
*3 MEATS.*
in spanish brother please
BurgerIM would be an interesting franchise to make a on because it's a smaller, less known chain and u could talk about the kind of path they're on and compare them to other franchise's that were once in burgerim's situation.. whether those franchises failed or flourished
I wonder what the ad fee is for. I have not seen a litter caesars ad in like 5 years. Everyone already knows to go there for cheap pizza and breadsticks. I think most little ceasars closed when all the kmarts closed as many were inside the kmarts
Robert can you Rate those Real Estate Franchises like we buy Houses or Pink houses and maybe some others perhaps???? Thanks...
As far as pizza goes, I think LC has the best out of the top 3
For the hidden message in the logo, I thought it was 4 knuckles and a middle finger, lol. Guess I was wrong.
How about franchising Quickchek in NJ? I will be very glad to hear your opinions. Thanks
Thanks for the question! Our service compares several options and we typically invest between 20-40 hours to determine the best fit for a persons goals, budget, operational preferences, exit strategy and market demand. www.franchise.city/our-services
U used to get two pizzas for price of one when you mentioned pizza pizza why not anymore, domino's is overrated
I wonder how theses numbers will change during next economical turn down?
😂😂😂 fricken explosion
Don’t vote Democrat so we can have a strong economy.
@@label1877 Are economy is on life support, so don't vote corp. repub or corp dem. They are going to do the bidding of their big donors, not the American worker - which is great for little caesars because it keeps the middle class poor and getting poorer. That leaves libertarians, who will take money out of politics but do nothing for inequality. Progressives will do both. Only three dem candidates have not taken pac money: betos, who wants to keep mar tax rates at 28% - does nothing for money flow to hoarding wealthy, and then Warren and Sanders - who have been fighting for the American worker for 55 yrs between the two of them. I know who I will vote for, if we do not get money out of politics and reduce inequality, we will continue to be a plutocracy and no longer a real democracy with a middle class continuing to slide into poverty.
Holy shit, haven't seen a Franchise City video in long time. Thought I had subbed. Let me correct that now!
Biggest problem is money keeps losing value every year, pizza cost stays the same.
Is there any franchise worth getting into.
Yes! Some are great ruclips.net/video/1yunaxZKyFE/видео.html Thanks for the question!
Little Cesar closed a couple of businesses in San Diego because they weren’t paying their employees.
I wonder if it was because they weren’t making enough money.
@@RCEE123 That is usually the case! Thank for the comment!
Love this channel! Can you do Krispy Kreme please.
Thanks! I'll add it to the list.
Franchise City Thx! Blessings from Cincinnati
little ceasers do the $5 hot n ready pizza in australia. 5 australian dollars is $3.50 USD!!!!
@@nicewknd i do go. they once gave me a free pizza coupon code and i discovered that i can use it everytime so i basically got free pizza for life lol! dont tell them.... and the pizza isnt bad at all.
Can you do capriotti's sandwich franchise??
Costco 10 buck pizza, LC if I’m in a hurry.
costco is superior 😁
I want to open a "bojangles" in the Los Angeles area.
Very good video! I can't wait for the next one 👍
Can you please review Doc Popcorn
Great stuff! Please do a Video on Meinke or the whole automotive industry if possible! Thank you!!!
Ill add it to the list - thanks!
Do a video about Marco's Pizza
Can you do one on Giant Eagle? I used to work for them and they have individual owned and operated stores.
Ill take a look - thanks!
Can you please do a video on street corner franchise
You are an awesome dude!!
Do five guys
