Fist off its not a myth. Tie does go to runner. Second i assume you guys have never played highschool or even college ball because they dont have replays so an umpire has to make a quick call based on what he seen. Thank you come again.
I love the bats but have a question and this goes to all manufacture's,,, if the test limit is 1500 PSI why does ASA/USA Softball allow these bat manufacture's to make bats at the 1100 psi then give them a grandfather clause of make them legal. I was told that ASA/USA softball was for making the sport safer. Just a question....
No! This is professional slowpitch. It's regulated at this level. That's why you never see the bats go back in the dugouts; they always toss them back towards the ump. Shaved bats are for homerun derbys and bp.

The rule is you must beat the throw to be safe. In a tie you did not beat the throw.
