Little known fact: Red lights are used by police and military because it is MUCH easier on the eyes once they’ve adapted to “night vision” . Red lighting does not disrupt your eyes once this occurs. Your eyes obviously adjust to night like colors and climate. When a white light hits your pupils, they immediately adjust and kill your night vision. It takes about half an hour for your eyes to return to their night vision where you’re able to see in the dark as much as humanly possible. That is why in military cutters, warships, or any vehicles have red lights equipped inside of them
If they can get the chips for them. I do like the fact that this is the first year the 8 speed was made available across the range, tells me that the durability of the 5 speeds offered something that the 8 speed wasn't able to match for over a decade.
As well as the easiest most foolproof way to attach and seal a transmission pan I have ever dealt with. 6 fasteners that don't go through the pan and can't be over torqued. Mercedes definitely designed a winner, I installed a drain plug in all of my NAG1's to facilitate future fluid changes.
Already starting to see these Durangos replacing Chargers in the few police depts. here that use Dodges. Most depts. including our state police use Ford police Explorers exclusively.
That’s primarily because of all the problems departments had with the chargers over the years. My department quit buying dodge outright in 2015 because of all the maintenance issues we had with ours. Been buying explorers ever since, along with a few F150s and Tahoes.
Our department got the explorer because it had the least cost of maintenance over time. One thing I like about the explorer is it's the only vehicle in the world that has a rear impact rating of 75mph
Hey so I have a 07 Magnum sxt and I’m building an exhaust for it. Was wondering what length tips you used in your V6 build, I understand you did 2.5 - 3.5
Wasn't aware Hali regional where using Durangos again. Last Durango I knew was the old 2009. Interesting! Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has switched to a lot of them however.
A good idea would be to review the classic Mopar law enforcement vehicles. Like the Plymouth Fury, Belvedere, Satellite. Dodge Coronet, Polara, Monaco, ect.
Mine is being unfitted now (destroyer gray), problem is the center counsels for the new shifter are late being made, looking forward to getting it next week, fingers crossed 🤞🏾
I have a 2018 Dodge Demon, and I am trying to find out the production numbers of how many factory sunroofs were installed on the F8 Green Demons. Does anyone have this info?
@@MarspeedCars Thank you. I watched the Demon Production number video a few times, and the only mention regarding sunroofs was a total production number, no numbers specific based car color.
The Durango is better on dirt roads and open grasslands than the Ford Explorer. The Durango Pursuit has been needing upgrades for better numbers in speed and acceleration. The Durango 5.7 is slower than the Tahoe 5.3.
Durango is basically the patrol car and for regular calls. While the charger is the enforcer basically to catch speeders and to get on scene extremely quickly. At the end of the day it's not gonna make a difference if these departments keep getting v6s😂😂
I just think Ford copied the 2020 ford explorer st cause it had 400 hp and then the 2020 Ford explorer police interceptor that has 400 hp so I don't know
Well Durango is a larger SUV than what Ford uses. The comparable model to a Ford would be an Expedition, not an Explorer or whatever they use. So if Ford ran an Expedition it would be slower than rhe Durango.
Love it, love it, love it!!! In this year the 100th anniversary of Chinese Communist Party #CCP, thrilled to know that Dodge is now partly owned by Dongfeng of China #MadeInChina2025 #BeltAndRoad #BeijingOlympics2022 🇨🇳
I think that was more centered on MRAP vehicles IMO. Who cares about another durango.... but when I see a damn maxxpro with local PD livery... I’m kinda wondering 👀😅

Interesting thanks for the awesome information!
Yess everyday is good when mopar content comes out :D (keep up the great vids marspeed)
Appreciate it brotha thank you 🙏🏼
Looks like I can't get away off road either.
😂😅
@TailsEngineUnited Cops in Mexico use Wranglers (tho not a pursuit trim since it doesn't exist)
@TailsEngineUnited Too late! They already use Jeeps in the mountain areas of West Virginia.
@@poodabran An LE agency using a vehicle ≠ pursuit-rated vehicle

Yeah that’s a good point. That 5 speed was just a beast, really really solid tranny

Thx for vid bro
Thanks for watching!
That need to make a demon persute.
Why didn't Dodge use the SRT hood with functional vents due to the high idle times these vehicles suffer?
What is the lightbar they are using on that in the promotional video?
I WISH YOU WOULD DO A VIDEO ON THE CHEVY TAHOE PPV🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I honestly haven’t been seeing any of these around where I live. It’s really weird because when I see a police car, it’s almost always an Explorer.

Do you mean diameter? Length shouldn’t really matter just depends how far you want them to stick out
Perfect thank you
Durango Police realistic top speed is 118 MPH.
Or 120 MPH if you have a tailwind. That direct from the Sherriff in a county near me who drives one.
They're limited
It would be cool to see how all the police vehicles stack up ¡
It’s coming I want to get into that further with all the various brands

Hmmmmm, very interesting!!!!!!!
Hopefully, Setina updates their documentation for where to measure/cut for the PB400/450 sooner than last time (2019 front).
Love the content, as a Mopar boy, I’m glad to see more of these Durango’s being used in my Area, also kinda bored cause I broken both of my wrist.
Thanks for the support man! Hope my content can keep you busy for a bit, sorry about your wrist

What about the ram
Cool 😀
My local sheriffs office has four
Austell GA police department very small they have ONE Durango police vehicle it's a base 2018 though very plain
so what's the point of this vid if you have most 2018 info and pics ?
Never really made a Durango pursuit video in general so I figured it wouldn’t matter too much. Ended up finding lots of 2021 pics anyways
Tengo una durango pero es del 2018 rt 8 cilindros ❤💙🤍
I have a 2018 Dodge Demon, and I am trying to find out the production numbers of how many factory sunroofs were installed on the F8 Green Demons. Does anyone have this info?
I made a Demon Production numbers video around 2018 I think I may have it in there
I’ll check my stats anyways and let you know

Well, nice to know that if it's a mopar pursuit I have a good chance of getting away 😂
Definitely have those in Ohio also
The V8 should be faster than 130
👀I mean 😅
I see why the EPA wanna band high performance cars and speed shops LoL
It is a large SUV
I’m gonna be honest I’ve never see a Durango pursuit
They have them here in mississippi
They’re relatively new so that’s probably why. Also they seem more expensive than other options
I have there menacing
The Durango is good, the Charger even better.

All these brands could put in little more effort to beat fords turbo v6 to shit.

Fun how they say " Defund The Police" however I work at Jnap and we build 30 Durango Pursuit vehicles a day.
