- On a cold rainy night at the harbor..the warm glow from the Tomatoe is so strong and powerful..it draws me near..like a warm hug.. saying "Come inside Ryo 💕 I have Darts, capsule toys, a jukebox, warm drinks and your favorite..a boiling tea pot!" haha 🤣
Maybe you can guess but in the full episode we will be spending a nice simple and more traditional Walk Through Shenmue at the Harbor!

A first person static view, like having a window to enjoy seeing the world that is Shenmue.
More so an emersion into the world. No interactions or different locations. Just a First Person Emersion you could say.
Why make videos like this? It's just something I've wanted to have to playing in the background or just to relax while watching the wonderful world of Shenmue.
No set agenda or challenge to worry about. I hope you enjoy.

The boiling teapot is definitely my favorite.
Who needs capsule toys, darts, avenging family murder, Goro's romantic struggles, an arcade, a kitten in a box, soda for The Moocher, glue for Fuku-san's piggy bank or even Tom's hotdogs?

Nice. I wish there was a fix for culling objects that are far away though. As an UE dev I think there is probably a system to calculate objects scale on the screen in percents to decide should the object be culled/use higher lod version, and using widescreen patch kinda breaks it since they take less space compared to 4:3 aspect ratio. This is the reason I play the game in 4:3 only
You are correct, as soon as I put it back into 4x3 to issue of the building's popping in and out like that completely disappears.
I also completely agree when I play the game just to enjoy it. I always play it in 4:3 but for these I really want that full screen immersion/experience.
But it still drives me crazy haha 🤣
@@WTShenmue widescreen is certainly better fitting for this kind of video imo, even with popping objects. I personally used remastered pc version with camera cheats and clean ui for some of my videos, but remastered version does not look and sound the same as DC version or emulated DC version, there is something about it, can't explain. I think it lost some of it's soul lol 😅
Exactly! Exactly ! I could play the remastered versions or maybe try to play some other ones that people have put together to fix some of the issues but... There's just something about having that original Dreamcast quality.... It really makes me smile 😊
@@WTShenmue joseph kitchen fried noodles actually did impressive job with capturing og shenmue atmosphere and put it into unity engine, but sega kinda failed this task imo, even having all the necessary source files. Maybe it's the fact that they work for money and we - the community - do it because we truly love shenmue 🤘🏻
@@WTShenmue that said I must admit that remastered version is still a good game, especially when used reshade and other enhancements. Load times are faster, you can save everywhere. So even though I prefer the og shenmue, I am still glad newer generation of gamers can play this masterpiece today without need of emulators, bios files etc 👌🏻😌
