  • Hey y’all hope you’re well💓
    Im Sorry I haven’t uploaded in a really long time, it’sBut I have a quite a few crochet projects planned very exciting, can’t wait to share them with you guys:)) I have a sewing tutorial coming as well which is me making an I am Gia skirt so also stay tuned for that🧶🧵
    My Hook is 4/5MM
    My yarn is 8 ply 100% acrylic and about 230m in 100g
    For this bolero I used 130g of yarn
    The full width from one end of the sleeve to the other was 1.74m so you might need slightly more or less yarn depending on the size of your bolero.
    RUclips keeps on copyrighting my videos even though I didn’t use the music it was claimed for and a quick google search reveals that the song doesn’t even exist... it’s so frustrating and annoys the hell out of me so I might not have music in future videos or like write songs and record them myself and use thAt. Idk we’ll see
    Thanks for reading and watching
    See you soon
    xx
    Wendyy

    Great tutorial, I just finished making mine! Incase anyone is wondering, it took me 2 days but if i worked on it non stop it would have been quicker. I used 200g of wool, i thought id run out but lickily i had just enough!
    Edit: accidentaly wrote 400g instead of 200g lol

      I agree with you. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves on TV as well. Sometimes the dialogue is lower than the background music and it’s very difficult to follow along. Would love you to do the same one just without music or at least turn it way down.

    Heyy. I’m really happy I found a tutorial for it and it seems pretty easy so far so I’m liking it but it kinda glitched at 4:46 so I’m confused and don’t want to mess it up. So should I do two double crochets into each hole?

    • @wendycrochetsyt
      @wendycrochetsyt  2 года назад +1

      Hey! You continue doing one double crochet per hole then chain 1 and then double crochet into the next hole. And you continue this until it’s long enough for your arm.

    • @wendycrochetsyt
      @wendycrochetsyt  2 года назад +1

      And if you need to make the sleeve wider you can do 2 double crochets in 1 hole a couple times per row. If you need to make your sleeve tighter then you do 1 double crochet from 2 holes a couple times per row

Row as the first row (it looks like I maybe decreased a few stitches each row on the first sleeve). I would hope that this works out as I am about to start the sleeve now . Whenever you're doing the back piece (where both sides are "even/ when you stop decreasing", do you still use the half double crochet on the last stitch of the front of the sleeves? I just assumed that was the same, as well as the chain 2 at both ends (the last stitch of the front and the last stitch of the back). Thanks

    • @wendycrochetsyt
      @wendycrochetsyt  Год назад +1

      No I didn’t use the half double crochets no more bc that was apart of making the decrease look more ‘natural’
      So as soon as I stopped decreasing all my stitches went back to double crochets (with a chain in between of course)

    • @wendycrochetsyt
      @wendycrochetsyt  Год назад

      But I did keep on doing the chain to at both ends because that is the turning stitch to go into a new row

    • @ashleywelks
      @ashleywelks Год назад

      Oh, okay well thank you for explaining that. I used the half double crochet until I got to the even part (the even rectangular back part) , but I am sure it wouldn't make a huge difference if I were to do the half double crochet instead. All good, I assumed the chain 2 on each end was necessary to keep the rows straight.

      I reckon you’ve increased stitches too rapidly. So when I increased stitches I did about 3 increases per row max. If not, you could also try loosening the tension of your stitches, like when you do the chain in between double crochets you can make them ‘looser’ and when you try it on the yarn will have more room to stretch bc the stitch is looser, making the sleeve slightly wider.

      Here it is it’s a bit more like instructions rather than a pattern cuz I don’t know all the stitch names...
      Chain 17 (or enough to wrap around your wrist/forearm)
      Dc into the first stitch of the first row then ch 1 and skip a stitch then repeat until the sleeve reaches your bicep
      Increase a couple of stitches if you need to fit your bicep/shoulder (see video)
      Continue with the dc chain dc and when your sleeve is long enough for your arm, crochet to half way of your sleeve then chain 1, turn your work and do dc chain dc until you reach the last stitch in this row. And chain 1 turn tour work repeat.
      Do this until you have 3 rows of crochet that is separated in the middle of the sleeve
      Then decrease a stitch in each of the next 3 rows on one end only
      Then do dc chain dc for 40 more rows or until it reaches your other shoulder.
      Increase a stitch in each of the next 3 rows
      Connect the 2 edges together by inserting your hook into the loop on the other piece pull up a loop yarn over and pull through all loops then continue with the dc chain dc decrease a couple of stitches
      Continue the sleeve with dc chain dc
