That's why we prefer solid enclosed trailers. Curtain sides are good for bulk such as lumber, pipe etc but for high value loads....not good. We would use a high value padlock for the doors. High strength and VERY hard to break.

In Romania we can't grow coffee or exotic fruits/vegetables.🤷🏼♀️ This weekend the snow came with -6°C here, I was driving home and on the last mountain on the way to home I caught a pretty bad weather! 😂 But I was lucky, I arrived home safe and sound!😊 This puppies were sweethearts! The key thing for security is to make any attempted theft time consuming and difficult as possible. The nut and bolt would have deterred a casual theft. But you are right, if a thief really wants what you have, they will do whatever they need to do. Secure parking with a high value load is always the best option, but not always possible, as you said. OUCH! The poor mudguard! How often does this happen though, you try to save something and in doing that, something else gets damaged - one way or the other, it costs you money! Arrrggghhh! 😠 BUT - You had such a lovely family of cute little guard dogs! Awww.. 🤗🤗 The highs and lows of trucking! I remember when air suspension first came into trucks/busses, it made my job as a HGV mechanic/driver SO much easier! Replacing a heavy leaf spring took so much more work than replacing an air bag! Great idea, and it made levelling/raising/lowering the axles so much simpler and saved a lot of weight too! I see that you had a good oportunity to have a check around under your truck when it was getting changed, always nice to visually check things so easily! I thought that if I hear them, then I have the chance to call the police/ to start the truck and save the loading. It seems, when you try to save something sometimes you make even a bigger mess!😂🤦🏼♀️ This guard dogs were very adorable.🤩 I was happy to check what is under my truck, because this way I know what can occur during the travels. Soon I have to check my brakes. But it is always so reassuring to know the condition of the truck, because this way somehow you can prepare yourself on what is coming. ha....you know, I've seen so many trucks with such damaged rear fenders, I tend to believe that it would be better if they started putting them on the trailer, instead of the truck 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
