"Paradox"는 일상의 순간들이 우리 자신을 어떻게 형성하는지를 섬세하게 탐구하는 반응형 설치 미디어 작품입니다.
이 작품은 거울처럼 관객의 형상을 반영하지만, 단순한 반영을 넘어서 과거, 현재, 그리고 미래 사이의 경계를 흐리게 합니다. 작품의 핵심 요소는 모래 알갱이로 이루어진 화면입니다. 화면은 관객의 움직임에 따라 변화하며, 모래 알갱이들이 각각의 프레임으로 하나의 순간을 만들어냅니다. 이 프레임들은 계속해서 흩어지고 다시 모여들며, 관객의 형상을 새롭게 만들어냅니다. 이러한 과정은 우리가 삶의 순간들을 경험하고, 그 순간들이 결합하여 우리의 정체성을 만들어낸다는 사실을 상징적으로 보여줍니다.
"Paradox"는 이런 방식으로 현재의 자아가 과거의 경험과 미래의 가능성에 의해 어떻게 형성되는지를 보여줍니다. 관객은 자신의 움직임이 모래 알갱이의 움직임에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 그것이 어떻게 새로운 형상을 만들어내는지를 경험하게 됩니다.
"Paradox" is a reactive installation media artwork that delicately explores how moments in daily life form us. This piece reflects the viewer's figure like a mirror, but it blurs the boundaries between the past, present, and future beyond simple reflection.
The core element of the work is a screen made of sand grains. The screen changes according to the movement of the viewer, and the grains of sand form individual frames to create a single moment. These frames continually scatter and regroup, creating a new shape of the viewer. This process symbolically shows that we experience moments in life and these moments combine to form our identity.
In this way, "Paradox" shows how the current ego is formed by past experiences and future possibilities. Viewers will experience how their movement affects the movement of the sand grains and how it creates a new shape.
