    👋 If you’re new here, I’m Dan. I delivered pizza for seven years before geeking out on sales and marketing. Then I used what I learned to build my business from nothing to over $32 million.
    If you want to hear my story of going from delivering pizza to $32 million, watch this video:
    • From Pizza Boy To $30,...
    I’ve helped clients grow to 7-8 figures with baller offers, marketing and sales strategies and have written several bestselling books, including a Wall Street Journal bestseller.
    You can look this all up-I encourage you to do so. Too many scammers out there.
    I upload these RUclips videos because the “gurus” make marketing way too complicated. I like to simplify it so you can grow your business more easily. Enjoy.

    Great video, thank you! Tiiiny corrections:
    1. Skool will absolutely do the same type of content moderation that FB does and shut down inappropriate communities.
    2. Divorce takes years and sometime decades so does become a perpetual problem.

      I think you're incorrect about your second point. I've been divorced 3 times. After the year or longer process, it's OVER. I have a child with #2. Won full custody. Again, no "perpetual problem" there and I'm kind of an "expert" when it comes to divorce...unfortunately. LOL!

      I've also been going through Max Perzon's seven hour masterclass, and he stressed the importance of having a free community, sharing so much free value with them, so they grow to like him, trust him, and believe in him enough to upgrade to his Premium subscription,.

      You can upsell them using a simple Stripe payment link and a explainer video. When you upsell (assuming your selling your advice) you'll give them more of you. I have tried away from free in recent years because I don’t want fans I want customers. I’d rather sell you something cheap cheap and get you on my list then give you something free and hope that you’re a buyer, which you’re probably not if you seek free stuff.

      But I mean, if you wanna do that, you have to create a gap. Teach him something that makes him want to learn something else. Not more of the same thing.

    • @MikeGowans

      Did you know Frank Kern is also on Skool? Skool is free when you get 3 other people to use it as well. When you focus on helping people get results and keep it simple the price is irrelevant. You don't have to level anything up except for the perspective you're using to justify the platform :-)

    • @DanHenry

      There would be no advantage for them to do that and ruin their subscription business over stealing some course sales. Plus I know Sam, the owner, he doesn't roll like that.

      @@DanHenryThen what would the rationale be for this T&C?

  • @schapermedia
    @schapermedia Год назад

    Mr. Dan. Relatively new business owner here (2 years in as video editing agency). If you were to start a community from scratch with my skillset (video editor), would you target video editors or would you focus on a community to help new entrepreneurs that are a few steps behind me?

    • @DanHenry
      @DanHenry  Год назад

      Well, without having an extensive conversation with you, I would probably say find a perpetual problem and solve that. Meaning, video editors are always looking for new ways to get clients, to edit video better, to get more subscribers on, RUclips, Etc. So figure out what type of video editor you want to help, what continuous problem they have, and what your best equipped to help solve, mix that all together, and we should have yourself an idea!

    • @schapermedia
      @schapermedia Год назад +1

      @@DanHenry Makes sense. I guess I was concerned with the total addressable market. Video editing is my expertise and I'm confident I can identify a perpetual problem there and provide solution(s). On the other hand, I felt the market for early entrepreneurs was larger (and potentially more profitable since "entrepreneurs" seem more prone to invest in themselves compared to video editors) . Thanks for your quick response.

    • @DanHenry
      @DanHenry  Год назад +1

      @@schapermedia I don’t think entrepreneurs want to learn how to edit, they want editing done for them. Video editors want to learn how to edit.

    • @schapermedia

      @@DanHenry Last question and I'll leave you alone and join your GetClients community - lol. Hypothetically, if you were an expert video editor AND a competent business owner with $250k annual revenue and 60% margins - would you (A) start a community around teaching fellow editors how to edit better and grow their editing business OR would you (B) start a community around teaching newer entrepreneurs in general how to hit their first $100k-$200k annually using principles and lessons learned from growing my own business to $250k/yr?
      Your multiple responses are very much appreciated, Dan.
