I used to hate Proton cars when I was a little kid. Well, I knew nothing at the time and all I see were cheap ass cars that can't compete internationally. Now that I've dived into the world of automotives, it came into my mind to conduct a research on this Proton engine system and it proved to be an innovative technology as far as it goes in Malaysian domestic markets. Now I can just put my hat off and give some respect to Proton for their hardwork. Though it still has weaknesses, I still hope that young generation today will continue the legacy and improve it 😁 proud to be Malaysian but still not proud under Najib :P

i drive gen2 cps and the engine performance rocks my world, except for the poor internal accessories. so far my worst problem is the central lock. unable to unlock the four locks using the button near the driver door. still repairing at the proton service. PROTON SHOULD HIRE QUALITY VENDOR COMPANY TO MAINTAIN ITS QUALITY IN ORDER TO COMPETE WITH FOREIGN CAR!!! For what it worth - two thumbs up for the CPS engine.
should make the secondary cam profile (high-cam) open at 6500 rpm... and make primary cam peak power at 6500rpm... make the powerband wider so people can choose between economy and power... thats the problem with cps fuel consumption... adding vvt can make it more efficient in term of fc and performance.
I shit Proton before.. now i understand.. they are developing, nothing can be achieve in one night.. Only shit people making shit to others.. Support our Proton. Respect!
@mohdnurr the mini slider with respone at 4500RPM and when you still pressing the throttle to 7000RPM you shift the gear it will automaticly go back to 4500RPM and still give a good power....I tried this on the Satria Neo CAMPRO CPS

I still prefer Proton with Mitsubishi standard engine, everyone i know using campro proton complaint a lot of defect and expensive to repair, Proton sales start to flop when it launch Camp Pro Engine, what shock me is there is a rubber ring inside the engine, Rubber lifespan is 5 years, an engine not suppose to have any rubber inside

the cps are more simple then others variable valve timming engine and more efficient, that's the reason Porche choose this concept, with the new cps turbo @ cfe its a superb powerful engine, A sentimental yet can be tempremental when you want it, same goes the fuel consumtion. who says you can't get both world. Love my Preve cfe😑😤

I'm still Using.still got no problems.the engine I have has been use more than 250,000+ KM.no leak,no black smoke.
