What year accord are you using the throttle body from? And what is the mm on it?
Brian I'm using a 05 RSX base model wiring harness & ECU for my JDM k24a and a base RSX throttle body. Am I going to have to do this same procedure.
What MAP sensor is best to use? I have a RBC IM and Type S TB. I noticed I have 2 MAP sensors lol. I guess one from the SI and one from the Type S. Is one better than the other?

I want to upgrade my intake manifold. Not sure if the power gain is worth it. Are there Any stock Honda manifolds that fit?
It would require an adapter to use a different manifold that would be beneficial. Then you could use the 2012 Civic Si manifold. HP gains would be OK. If you are trying to squeeze that last little bit of HP from a setup you already have without upgrading the turbocharger, then it could be worth it. I appreciate your videos in the knowledge that you're giving. Question I have a base RSX K24 swap it runs but the idling is high and it overheats any ideas on how to get the idling down. Thanks for the help
The high idle may be a problem with either a vacuum leak or malfunctioning EACV. I should probably do a video on troubleshooting a high idle.

What year and model USDM Accord TB will work?

Brian, at 3 minutes, you talk and show how the accord tps is clocked differently than the rsx type s tps, but operates the same. Could I use an accord throttle body/tps in my rsx type s despite the tps being clocked differently? thank you for your wealth of knowledge.
No, it won't bolt up.
Came to see what tb’s might fit on my ep3. Have you ever seen the throttle body itself leaking causing a lean code?
RSX, EP3 and CRV. The RSX Type S and EP3 are the best. And no I've never seen a T body that leaked and caused a lean code. That is usually related to fuel flow.
I’m trying to get more bottom end torque in my auto 2nd gen crv since I’ll be putting on a lift kit and bigger wheels and tires . The accord base model tb is a good upgrade?
We think it's the same size.
So I just found out the k20a2 and k20z1 are not the same. The map sensor inlet port are different.
Supposedly a bigger throttle body doesn’t even gain power at all, unless head work is performed. People swap manifolds, and throttle bodies just for looks.
The biggest cheapest gain is power is an intake short ram or cold air intake, vs stock plastic intake box. Besides that any time you want to see power, you have to have a healthy bottom end, drop in cams, FBO and tune
I put a 65 mm TB on a Buick based Aussie version v6 vp commodore, then a cold air induction, iat resistor mod , shift kit in rhe turbo 700. The TB from 60 mm? Instant response and more push in the seat! Ecotec v6 is starved in standard trim.
I'm running a tsx IM and TB on my Accord 2.4 , something tells me the stock TB will be more responsive 🤷 it's on the way so we'll see.
Did you ever do a video on converting an auto trans K series engine harness for manual engine/trans combo? Rsx base auto harnesses are pretty cheap so my question is it just remove the auto wires and connectors or it there more to it?

X2, I’m actually doing this as we speak. #1 repin /extend the TPS connector #2 use the connector from the intake manifold runners and move down to use for reverse lock out and repin that at the ECU connector. I’m sure there’s more, just haven’t got that far yet.
Do you guys have any guides on repining Honda fuel injectors to work with RDX injectors. I own a 2012 Accord LX and I'm having a hard time trying to get these Denso 410cc injectors installed. All pigtails I find are not the correct fitment for my car to the RDX ones. So confusing

I have a skunk2 alpha throttle body, swap car with a base RSX engine harness. I have both the accord TPS and a base RSX TPS, if I use the base TPS do I need to re-pin the TPS plug? Thank you!
I believe you need an RSX Type S compatible TPS for the Skunk 2 throttle body. And, you need to re-pin the TPS sensor.
Great video Brian! I got an Accord K24a TB for my JDM K24a2 swap. Question is what cable bracket bracket do I use? The accord bracket mounts to the manifold not the TB like the others.
What manifold do you have?

@@1stGenCRXs If you have the Accord manifold and Accord or Element bracket, use an Element throttle cable with it.
Is the accord throttle body bigger than the RSX type S
Hi will an Accord throttle body work on a 06-08 USDM TSX intake manifold?
I guess the year to get for the USDM K24a2 use the cable accord throttle body is 04&05 because it has provisions for the IACV.
i have a 70mm skunk 2 pro tb can i run it on my stock 02 rsx type s without a tune till i can get a tune ? will it affect much if i dont get tune ?
I wouldn't recommend it... it wont run smooth, you'll have a rough idle , and maybe some stuttering ..
Your letting in more air, but not more fuel, and that will be your problem, your AFR will be messed up... i recommend waiting till you can tune it..

I have a question. Its my first K series build and I am trying to put an accord k24a4 TPS on a skunk2 alpha 70mm throttle body. I can not get the TPS to line up with the throttle body shaft due to it being clocked a bit different. I'm assuming I need a type s TPS?

Why are you going with a 4-1 header as opposed to a 4-2-1 or hybrid style header?
A 4-1 header makes a little more power in the lower ranges of the rev range, and a 421 makes more power up top... so it's a bit of personal preference and the purpose of the build...
@@nicolasdujardin5691 i thought 4-1 is for top end only. 4-2-1 for midrange to top.
Do you always have to do a throttle body learn procedure everytime you take it off?
Every time you reset the ECU. Unless you have a new throttle body.

I took my thottle body off to clean it and it was acting up until I resetted the ecu and calibrated the TBI.
Now it runs perfect again.
Is the usdm EP3 throttle body the same as the rsx type s?

It isn't really necessary on the 160HP K20A3 engine. Have you done other modifications?

Drive by wire would be the J-series throttle bodies and drive by cable would be the Accord K-series T-bodies.

I believe both of those are a direct bolt and plug and play.

No, ZDX TB will need an adapter, also you'll need flashpro to tune it since that IM +TB will let a lot more air in, probably you'll need RDX injectors too since stock ones will be running maxed out (K24a2 with I/H/E can max stock injectors pretty easily)

Off the top of my head, I would look at the 98-01 Integra LS/GS throttle bodies.
@@VTECAcademy hey thanks alot for the quick reply I'm in a moving process and had to replace my throttle body since my old one was defective I ordered one already since it's so last minute but it may not fit it just had the same orientation (sensors in right place, hoses, etc)

I'm using an 05 accord throttle body on my k24a rbb. I realized later that i bought one with a part number from an automatic car. What's the difference and do i need to buy one from an manual? Also the accord one is pretty small but rax is only 2mm more. Should i just get a different TB altogether?
For 200 hp the Accord TB is big enough. The. auto or manual throttle body fits fine on the RBB. If you have an RBC or RRC then you need the Accord DX (auto or manual) throttle body.
@@VTECAcademy i couldn't figure out the difference between manual or auto they have different part numbers. The manual one much harder to find. Anyways I'm on an rbb manifold not much room on the firewall since it's in an mr2.

What year Accord throttle body bolts on RBC, RRC manifold?
For drive by throttle cable 2003-2005.

@@raysb240sx long as its cable driven not drive by wire. I got mine off amazon but remember if tps sensor is facing up have to flip around the the out wires around 123 normal to 321 also may have to make custom throttle cable stay bracket. See what Brian says also. I got mine off amazon just make sure its 2003-2005

Yes, but you would have to trim part of the manifold so the upper radiator hose inlet from the A3 could be installed.
