Bailed!

We were in and out of this hunt all-day twice we were within 100m but couldn't get a shot.
Eventually the deer bailed in a deep pool at the bottom of a really steep valley and was taken with a clean neck shot.

How is that hunting? the deer was in the water hiding from the dogs? zero skill required.

The skill is knowing how to work with the dogs and get to the spot that they will bring the deer to.
